for food: eating the same thing every day lowers intake by 40%. there's even a name for it "sensory-specific satiety" where your brain literally upregulates appetite for novel flavors
for clothes: steve jobs wore the same outfit because every morning decision comes from the same pool that has to run the rest of your day, and that pool is smaller than you think
for sleep: a consistent bedtime is better for your health than 8 hours on a random schedule. your circadian system depends on consistency
for gym: people who go "when they feel like it" go twice a month. people who go at 5am every day go 300 times a year. habits always beat discipline
in the same way that sex with the same person for ten years is better than sex with ten people in one year and everyone who has done both knows this
being boring is the highest leverage move available to a human. every repeated action is a thought you don't have to think anymore, and you only get a few thousand real thoughts in a life
variety got marketed as freedom when in reality it's a tax that paralyzes you and stops you from acting. the modern world is built to drain you on small decisions before noon so you have nothing left for the things that genuinely matter

Text to my husband today: “Where do we keep the house filters?”
Why? Because the AC guy was here today and offered to change them for us, a job that my husband handles. He knows when to change them, and he knows the size and type of filters we use. I do not.
Because in a marriage you divvy up the mental load.
I handle the grocery list because I cook, because I’m better at it! He does the dishes, so when he’s low on dishwasher soap he tells me and I add it to the list.
This video implies only women have a mental load which is utter BS. Husbands and wives just handle different aspects of the household. That’s how it works. That’s how it’s always worked.

Tener un 36% de personas presas inocentes, es un crímen contra la humanidad, se trata de campos de concentración de población civil, gente apresada porque tiene un tatuaje o es jóven, así no se disminuye una tasa de homicidios porque estás matando en vida a miles de jóvenes presos inocentes y a sus familias, se parece a las ejecuciones oficiales en Colombia para matar jóvenes para hacerlos pasar por guerrilleros dados de baja, cuando eran jóvenes inocentes incluso con problemas mentales recogidos en los barrios populares de las grandes ciudades. Eso se llama terrorismo y sirve para conseguir apoyo popular ignorante, y después siguen los ciclos de venganza y más muertes. La tasa de homicidios se baja, y lo estamos logrando en semana santa en Colombia, pacificando, construyendo paz en ciudades y en el mundo rural.
