Measuring trading in terms of $ is so dumb R is the ONLY thing that matters If you have a low amount of capital, but can average 3-5R in a week Then it’s only a matter of time before you’re doing $1,000 weeks then $10,000 weeks as your capital grows I’d rather be the guy with less capital doing 10R weeks than the guy with a ton of capital but is only managing 1R in a month lol

My story is similar to that 35-year-old guy with the €65k account after two years of trading. I just wanted to add that after going back to a 9-to-6 warehouse job, with morning and afternoon shifts, something changed. Trading actually made me appreciate working. When I was only trading and had no job, time felt empty. Now I realize having a job is important,it helps you enjoy the passage of time, appreciate holidays, and meet and talk to people everyday. i recently got truck licence, learning french language currently, i just want to keep learning new skills however, I hardly even check my salary anymore!!!

@tradermatt I think before going full time you should have equal amount of 24 months income It will give you breath even to sharper your skills within these two years

the first goal with trading should be to earn 50% of your monthly income, then all of it but even then you shouldn't quit work. you should be stockpiling that extra income until it's silly to be working still even though you're still working until then, the entire world looks and feels different. it all becomes easier to cope with don't worry about full time. take it step by step and the momentum will carry the rest for you
