@instagram Obviously I need to figure out my account issue first and foremost, but as my situation highlights, there is also a need to here for y'all to reevaluate the UX here and why there isn't an alternative accessible pathway for appeals available.

@instagram How can I get in touch with a human to help me resolve an accessibility issue? I got a suspension notification a few days ago, but due to my disability, I am unable to go through the appeal flow which requires physically writing on a piece of paper & taking a selfie.

While we've seen mechanics like space combat, space flight, and even sandwich storage, the disabled community is concerned about the silence from Bethesda and Xbox surrounding Starfield's accessibility. Learn more: bit.ly/3D5tdmi

Love to see it – @figma making serious strides with their platform accessibility, bringing more equity to the process of making and giving more folks a seat at the table of design. figma.com/blog/a-step-fo…

@Black1976 Fingers crossed that approval will happen soon! I just started taking it Tuesday of last week. I was also not a good candidate for the alternative due to the risks of spinal injections with my severe scoliosis.

@the_3 Ridisplam is only approved for kids (Type-1 and 2) here in Spain. Organizations are pushing so it opens up to SMA Type 2 adults, then Type 3. The process requires again a vetting system, too. I wish I coul, I asked for it.

I am not eligible for the SMA treatment. Low scores in strength/mobility scales and the procedure (spinal injections) presents many risks, there is nothing to win and high chances of causing damage. I wanted to have a chance, to at least stop the progression but that is not on

@Black1976 Are you not able to do Risdiplam? No injections that way (it is an oral medication) and approved by the EMA.

Tonight, my uncle commented that he noticed I am sitting up far straighter and for much longer periods of time than a few years ago! I still can't believe I've been on my medicine for almost a year and a half and that there are noticeable results!

@mswinford9 what can be done to improve @GoNumotion's efficiency? currently, it takes 3+ days to place an order for an essential part for a wheelchair repair. Manufacturer quotes should be near instantaneous and pre-orders done same/next day. Delays cause real harm to clients.

The other day I tried to say avocado and I couldn’t. Like 3 times in a row, it came out some variation of “avodavo” I’ve now taken to using the word avodavo to reference when thinfs come out not quite right but “fuck it, you know what I meant”

@Black1976 @OneSwitch @jennylayfluffy Is this referring to voice access in particular? Or more generally? In voice access at least, you can interact with keyboard keys by saying "press <the name of the key>". So in this case, "press escape" should get you out of fullscreen apps that capture the mouse.

@OneSwitch @jennylayfluffy It was a trap, I knew it. General Ackbar warned me. Jokes aside, it would be very helpful. That feeling of losing control by not being able to press a key can be frustrating. I am testing Microsoft Keyboard control to re-assign a key from my number key pad to Escape.

@ianhamilton_ @xanderashwell @twithoff It's not easy, but it is simple. Make accessibility a core pillar of your game and that shifts perspective about the priority of features that enable more people to play.
