A fantastic day yesterday receiving my #honorarydoctorate from @BristolUni, thanks, which was for realising age 13 that the environment & wildlife film-making is white, taking action to change them, carrying on when they resisted & not giving up despite a barrage of #racism #hate

We’re encouraged to see water & air quality, natural flood management, carbon capture, biodiversity, access and education all feature alongside food production in today’s #AgricultureBill, it just all needs to happen before 2025! What are your thoughts, farmers and non farmers?

Still wondering what #KentGreenAction resolution to follow for 2020? How about making #healthier food choices - for you & the planet! Eg; switch to #organic, buy sustainably raised meat, cut out excess sugar or avoid artificial flavourings. Small changes can make a difference!

We saw this fellow yesterday in a small unaffected area in the fire ground. He was happy and healthy but we left him some water anyway. #Adelaidefires #AustralianFires #koala

@RGE_Art It’s a very big problem and its enormously important that we start listening to those with knowledge of those landscapes and the ability to manage them.

@the_ash_project Thanks for this. Not sure this is the main problem but there's no doubt that if people choose/have to live close to wooded areas prone to dangerous wildfires, it would be wise to manage trees appropriately & with care. Safer for all inhabitants – plants, animals and humans.

I read that eucalyptus #trees are fuelling Australia's unimaginable pain and devastation. Known as 'gasoline trees', their oil and papery bark is highly flammable – and they've evolved to survive & thrive in wildfire. These wonderful trees are currently viewed as a big problem...

@the_ash_project Clarification. Eucalyptus trees are helping the fires to spread more easily. This is a problem for those tasked with preventing further devastation. To my knowledge nobody is blaming the trees for this tragedy, and rightly so.
