Last week I deleted Research Points Per Animal as a game-wide system that would unlock new items to buy in shops. Then I played Arceus and it's right there!

@egoraptor @egoraptor you're being so kind to me recently - I got a bunch of messages about Help the Hero the other week when you reminiced... That voice session was such a highlight of my career, what an afternoon! You da best, was a real watching a real expert at work experience!

One of the coolest experiences in my life was being able to voice EVERY Kapu Kapu character in Chu Chu Rocket! Universe, a game now strangely considered lost media. Chu Chu Rocket! was one of my absolute favorite games growing up, I couldn't believe I had this opportunity. On top of that, it was such a joy to work again with (absolute genius) @the_exp. We were frequent collaborators in the @Newgrounds days, voicing for his brilliant game Help the Hero, as well as a small part in his beloved SHIFT series. I thought this might be a stuffy experience since this was such a big property for a huge brand, but it was the exact opposite. Antony and I were laughing the entire time recording this, I believe you can even hear me start to crack up at the end of certain Chef Kapu lines (because, admittedly, my French accent is NOT GOOD) When the job is to do so many characters and be very cartoony, it's all about texture and variety for me. I tried to give every character not just a unique personality, but a unique sound quality. I didn't want any character to sound like any other character. For example, King Kapu was mostly back of the throat, Kap'n Kapu was all tight nasal, and Sargeant Kapu was very breathy.

My new banner shows some of the voice roles I'm especially proud of! Since I've been collecting footage from them, I figured I'd share a little bit about each one in a thread as I find the time to cut them together! 🧵

@DavidBandel1 Yeah it was made using flash gpu hardware acceleration and starling to put hundreds of things on screen at once, but it does mean flash emulators struggle with it. Maybe destined for Steam with full screen and achievements one day :)
