The nearly 20-year build-up to Metroid Prime 4's narrative is insane. Sylux was introduced as a minor character in a handheld spin-off. He's now the main antagonist, and the plot is a direct continuation of Federation Force. I can't wait to see how Tanabe's plan pays off.
