A remarkable performance by the US not just in terms of growth, but also inflation is tamed, unemployment near 50-year low, and real wages rising. That's unprecedented.
"The Establishment" gets a lot of well-deserved criticism, but in this case, I have to acknowledge that the Fed and senior government officials did an impressive job with monetary and fiscal policy as well as other policy choices.

The fact that the US is chugging along (blue) is all the more noteworthy because everyone else has pretty much stopped growing. After the sugar rush of fiscal stimulus faded, private consumption stopped growing pretty much everywhere. Except for the US...
