2 working scenarios - UK vs Pakistan Lets say I buy the following 5G shield from outside the UK and upon delivery, I have to pay duties and VAT on the invoice amount (online) and it will be delivered to my home. Next, if I make any device using this shield and ship it abroad, I just walk in to the post office to any other courier to ship it. Job done. Now trying to import the same shield in Pakistan, it will be held by the Customs until I go and get NOC from PTA. After going through the hassle and probably 1-2 trips down to Lahore, I will get it. Next, I build a device using this shield and try to ship it abroad with get the wrath of all agencies from narcotics to customs to whatnot. The only benefit Pakistan offers to small tech businesses like ours is that engineers get paid a lot less than the UK. But the hassle you go through can drive you nuts.
