@NikMilanovic @marqeta would even let us talk directly to our banking partner. We had an Marqeta account associate instead to engage with on compliance.

One point I haven't seen discussed much in the Synapse drama: for any startup that handles people's money, the board should have a direct line into the chief compliance officer

Just got a "startup closure notification" for a startup we didn't invest in. Led with "you were right not to invest..." I appreciate the consideration but that is not the spirit of venture, or startups. 1/n

Many people never have the opportunity to back someone to try to reach their dreams. If your startup is struggling, or it's failed, you shouldn't apologize. Consider yourself more practiced, learn from the experience and, ideally, go for it again.
