Two weeks until Bitkiwi XVI, and we are pleased to announce that Francisco Colombo from @Btcjourney21 will be the third member of our speaking panel!
Francisco is a former lawyer and co-founder of Bitcoin Journey, a project dedicated to both Bitcoin education and curated travel experiences for Bitcoiners visiting New Zealand.
As a Bitcoin educator, he helps grow the Bitcoin Basin circular economy in Queenstown (@TheBitcoinBasin) by teaching individuals and businesses about self-custody and practical Bitcoin adoption.
Francisco will also be sharing insights and updates about what promises to be one of New Zealand’s greatest Bitcoin conferences: the Sovereignty Summit (@SovSummitNZ).
Francisco rounds out our fantastic panel, to be hosted by NZ podcaster @UngaroDarcy.

Speaker Announcement: Pete Evans “Cook with Love and Laughter” Pete Evans is a celebrated chef, author and health and wellness advocate who has spent more than three decades changing the way people think about food. He started cooking professionally at seventeen, opened his first restaurant at nineteen and became one of Australia's most published chefs, with around thirty cookbooks to his name. What does a sovereign life actually look like?
The word "sovereignty" means different things to different people.
For some, it's about financial independence.
For others, it's the ability to make decisions without unnecessary interference from governments, corporations, or institutions.
For many, it's simply about taking responsibility for your own life.
The last few years have caused people around the world to ask deeper questions:
Who controls my money?
How resilient is my future?
How much freedom do I really have?
What systems am I dependent on?
What alternatives exist?
These questions aren't political. They're human.
Sovereignty doesn't mean isolation. It doesn't mean having all the answers.
