Supposedly Anthropic’s new models are so good they’re worried if they release them existing software companies will be exposed to hacks. Which is either amazing marketing or deeply concerning.

@BoostedJ This used to frustrate me until I realized it’s just part of the job. No one wants to be remembered as the one who said no. Way easier to flake, fake, and avoid. If it pops you can always apologize for being busy. You maintain plausible deniability. Herd mentality.

It’s a phenomenon in Hollywood in both film and music when someone isn’t feeling an idea they just don’t respond, just to leave the door open if something gets a little more hot then maybe they might be interested. It’s like they’re passively retaining a free option.
