@ColeMaritz probably both. although i think the biggest reason the news is being "leaked" is to encourage regulatory capture.

Supposedly Anthropic’s new models are so good they’re worried if they release them existing software companies will be exposed to hacks. Which is either amazing marketing or deeply concerning.
TestingCatalog News 🗞@testingcatalog

BREAKING 🚨: Anthropic is preparing to release new models, Mythos and Capybara, where Mythos is a completely new tier of models, bigger then Opus. In the blog post, Anthropic also highlights that this model brings significant cybersecurity risks due to its capabilities.

@united Very interesting, especially as a family of five with young kids. Between this and Starlink, it’s awesome to see you guys try again. Might have to start flying out of EWR again.

This is why I always have codex skill check plans. Claude was prepping to ask codex to review the plan and realized it made a mistake 😅

Giving AI to my kids is like making them famous. Doors open. People treat you different. But you lose real friends, get surrounded by yes men who lie to your face, and become dumber because no one pushes back. It's great when you're ready for it. It's dangerous when you're four.

Whether it’s slow immersion for deep understanding or a chaotic backflip on a landmark for a viral clip, the impact is the same. Outsiders feel empathy, communities feel seen, and tourism boards cut checks.

IShowSpeed is this generation’s Bourdain. Tony was a chef who mastered nuance and subtle observation. Speed is a master of the platform, live-streaming spectacle and performative authenticity.

Normalizing for my kids that you can ask anyone anything, no matter who they are or how important they seem, if you prepare and start with the question: Is this something I can answer for myself?

To clarify: Money is just a metric and future resource. The real goal is consolidating and expanding your vertical stack. Realistically, we have 5-6 years before the entire economy shifts. Build either dry powder (capital) or distribution (audience). That’s it.

ONLY 2️⃣ things matter right now If you own a business → STACK 💵 Use AI to make as much money as you can. Be first while laggards deny. Break things and GO fast 📈 Don't own a business? → Get FAMOUS 🤳🏻 Knowledge, networks, tools are all commodity. Only distribution matters

What’s surprising is how clearly this is reversing in Gen Alpha. They crave order, conviction, already deeply informed with strong beliefs and a sense of mission. Is this the saeculum turning or are Millennial parents consciously reshaping their kids to rebuild?

Completely anecdotal, but from managing Gen Z teams and convos w/ other founders: Gen Z = Gen X 2.0 Brilliant, skeptical, individualist, nihilist. Came of age in chaos. Survival first. TikTok irony is the new grunge.

@BoostedJ This used to frustrate me until I realized it’s just part of the job. No one wants to be remembered as the one who said no. Way easier to flake, fake, and avoid. If it pops you can always apologize for being busy. You maintain plausible deniability. Herd mentality.

It’s a phenomenon in Hollywood in both film and music when someone isn’t feeling an idea they just don’t respond, just to leave the door open if something gets a little more hot then maybe they might be interested. It’s like they’re passively retaining a free option.

Kendrick Lamar just pulled off a masterful Trojan horse. He fully leveraged the moment, and most people don’t even realize what it was. This felt like LL Cool J’s GAP ad. I’m so inspired that unapologetic integrity and nuance can win on a global stage.
