Hey @elonmusk, does SpaceX use Python, and for what? How extensively?

The goal is simple: deliver maximum speed without sacrificing stability, hardware health, or efficiency. Sometimes fewer segments are faster. Sometimes more are needed. Soon, the download manager will know the difference — and adjust instantly.

Instead of forcing users to guess the “perfect” number of connections, the download engine will automatically adapt in real time by analyzing: • CPU load • Disk latency and write pressure • Connection stability • Server behavior and throttling patterns • PL & net conditions

One important lesson I learned while building a download manager: More connections do not always mean faster or more stable downloads. Parallel segmentation helps — but only up to a certain point.
