Meet Dr Katherine Davies, a postdoctoral researcher in the @theczabs and @pseudokinase laboratories. Katherine completed her PhD at @WEHI_research last year, studying necroptosis. Her work was published in a 2020 @NatureComms paper.

Generally impact scores of senior Investigators exceed juniors due to years active. To adjust @nhmrc could’ve applied higher funding cutoffs to seniors (eg L3) vs juniors (eg L1). Instead L1/2/3 had same cutoff. Hence L3 success 45% vs L1 7%. Mid-career Oz research? Asphyxiated.
