The Mets still haven't made a final decision on their last bench spot and the last bullpen spot. Carson Benge was the only player to learn he made the team today, Carlos Mendoza said. Jared Young, Vidal Bruján and Ben Rortvedt are heading north with the team. So are relievers Richard Lovelady and Bryan Hudson. Mendoza said he told those guys that those decisions likely won't be made until the very end leading up to Opening Day on Thursday.

@jayhaykid Crews was a top 20 high schooler who hit .349+ all 3 years as a starter at LSU. Skenes wasn’t even a SP until his sophmore year at Air Force. Ranking Crews ahead of Skenes at that point was a no brainer. Skenes has been incredible but during the draft, that wasn’t a guarantee

Baseball America ranked Dylan Crews ahead of Paul Skenes in the 2023 Draft. One of those guys couldn’t make the roster of a rebuilding team and the other is the reigning Cy Young Award winner and one of the best young pitchers ever. I think they need to answer for that.

For whatever it is worth Jerry, we have known each other socially for a long time - you have always been so kind and respectful (as has your wife). @TheEntertainah Teams would trade up for the DEs and OTs avail at 5. If you’re the Chiefs/Bengals/Cowboys, DE is a major area of need. The Browns most likely will look to draft an OT. This forces teams that fall in love with one of the OT to have to jump the Browns to get their guy.

Here’s my ?. It seems on twitter it’s pretty unanimous that most fans feel the Giants should trade down if they can. And it seems to be the primary reason for that is fans feel there isn’t elite talent at premium positions. Well then my question is why would teams trade up?

ex: more Tigers fans in places like Battle Creek, Marshall, Hillsdale, etc than Lions fans

For baseball nerds like me, this is the problem I have with the ABS system coming to MLB.
It was a strike when it crossed the plate. And was correctly called. But by time catcher caught it, looked low.
ABS challenge system will call it a ball. I say let the umps call it.
