For the first time this year I’m excited about a guitar-based LP by a man artist. MJ Lenderman’s Manning Fireworks is out Friday. Melancholy slacker rock with an early 90s slant of early 90s Pavement / Dinosaur Jr — Jake’s a phenomenal songwriter and guitarist.

And there we go: as warned, extra dates added, shit-eating explanations to style it out that the band wasn’t involved. And the mugs get queuing again.

Watching a recent E Street Band live show, I haven’t done that for a long while. First thought: Max Weinberg is 73. How on earth has he maintained this level of skill and stamina and musical intuition for so long? Unbelievable, an extraordinary musician. The whole band really.

@erocdrahs In no way do I give the Gallaghers a pass, it’s absolutely gross on their part too. And me neither, I wouldn’t be going if tickets were a tenner.

@thedoublechorus ticketmaster are absolute villains. but noel and co def signed up for dynamic pricing, so that’s all on them. a pox on all their houses. (tho, personally, i can think of nothing worse than an oasis stadium gig!)

If there’s one thing uglier than dynamic pricing, it’s dynamic pricing when you’ve got a bunch more nights held at the same venues, which fans don’t yet know about. If (I emphasise if) that has happened here, it’s the most unethical British ticketing process I’ve ever seen.

Just remembered that Prince did 21 nights at the O2 arena and every single ticket was £31.
