@MelRoBuilds Gutted! and I wondered why my lipofuscin is risen up the past few years of using these when I have detoxed PUFAs for a decade. and reduced my iron overload! I will go back to safe stainless steal that Ray Peat recommended and the easy testing it with a magnet

I know some of you in Peat-realm use these colored glass cookware too
Guess what... some of them test positive for heavy metals too

@sweetgumfarm_ cool 😊 we are on different paths mine is regeneration. I don't think it's a wise move to store these fats in our tissues and to burn unsaturated fats at night when most of the aging process occurs when the brain is trying to renew itself at middle age
English

@theedgecontent Well I do the same. Tons and tons of research proving they lower inflammation and help with cognition. We don’t all have to agree on everything. ✌️

@Birkalv @theedgecontent Where do you find masa harina? I need to make this too

I learnt the concept of working IN not OUT from Paul Chek
while you are healing. If the energy is not available to "workout" do not take more of it away. It becomes counterproductive and catabolic
Instead try some of these alternative suggestions below
Self lymph massage
Self myofascial release
Buteyko Breathing Technique
Gentle short walk in nature
Corrective floor based postural work
Qigong

"Almost all human aging happens during the night" Ray Peat
The lowering of blood sugar levels and increase of free fatty acids during the night is a part of what drives degenerative stress
Darkness is stressful on our physiology and suppresses mitochondrial energy production and with the longer nights in the winter, then the aging process has even more hours each day to act!
I never go to bed hungry and always have a bedtime snack such as: a cup of warm milk with honey 30 minutes, before bedtime or alternatively a cup of homemade gelatinous broth with plenty of salt.
Both salt and or sugar lower the adrenalin levels and increase body temperature helping you achieve restorative sleep

"Migraine headaches are increasing in incidence. By the end of the 1950s, it was widely accepted that migraine headaches and associated symptoms including nausea and visual disturbances were caused by an excess of serotonin, and antiserotonin drugs of various types were being used for treatment.
Women have migraines more often than men do, and they tend to occur in association with ovulation or menstruation. Estrogen inhibits monoamino oxidase, MAO, especially the form that is most active in detoxifying serotonin, and it increases the enzymes that control the rate of serotonin synthesis.
During serotonin excess, the veins and capillaries of the pia mater are engorged with blood, while circulation to the brain generally is depressed. Visual symptoms are probably produced by contriction of arterioles, while the pain is associated with engorged veins.
Progesterone activates the MAO-A, and has other antiserotonin effects on blood vessels and nerves."

The “health” culture has it all backwards
Thyroid suppressive diets. Restricting salt, dairy, animal protein. Eating nuts, seeds, uncooked vegetables, legumes. Polyunsaturated fats that all lower thyroid function. They also damage mitochondria and delicate enzymes through lipid peroxidation.
Decreased thyroid hormone and progesterone, increased estrogen and stress hormones.
Being in a chronically high catabolic stressed state: breakdown of tissue like skin, muscle and bone loss
“All phases of development, from gestation to aging, are altered by the presence of the unsaturated fats, and these effects correspond closely to the loss of regenerative capacity, the ability to replenish and restore tissues.”
Ray Peat

@theedgecontent I made these today and they were absolutely delicious- I used olive oil tho bc I didn’t have any coconut oil- tasted sort of like a delicious muffin. Thanks so much for the recipe!

@rosenfeltc yes I was peating. healing is not an event it's a process. A Young person can heal much faster even some simple nutrition changes. I wasn't in an optimal environment in 2020. but there non peat principles here also that have helped me like improving my posture and gait mechanics
English

@theedgecontent Congrats on the positive changes 👏 I’m trying to remember were you low carb in 2020 and then adopted Ray Peat principles until now?
English

@thisardentlife thank you it's taken a while but feel pretty bouncy these days 😊 no aches or pains 🙌🏼
English

@theedgecontent Look at you go! That's impressive!
