These are the weak and cowardly men who are most insecure about their masculinity, about their character, about their fear of sacrificing in pursuit of some cause or values greater than themselves. Actually brave people don't strut around constantly yelling about how strong and manly and virtuous they are. It's weak men who have to resort to LARPing, to wearing campy hyper-masculine costumes, to constantly touting their own strength even though they can't point to anything they have ever done that reflects any of those attributes they loudly claim for themselves. And most of all, they need to demean others who do exhibit those attributes in a desperate hope to escape the shame that those people engender within them.

Let's be even more clear about this: -ICE's jurisdiction is ONLY on matters related to immigration. -They do NOT have normal police powers or authorities. -To stop a vehicle they MUST have reasonable cause to believe it contains an undocumented immigrant. -To draw their weapon on someone they MUST have reasonable cause that their lives are in *DIRECT* danger. -They CANNOT detain you with out reasonable cause to believe you are undocumented. -They CANNOT detain a US citizen for passing-by the area. Ice had NO jurisdiction to stop or interact with this woman at all, never mind pull out a gun.

I've watched the defense morph so many times in the last few days. First the defense was "It's the holidays, of course it's closed!" ... until they realized that daycare is MOST needed when kids are out of school. Then "We already closed that fraudulent daycare!" until the owner decided to bus in kids and claim it opens every day at 2pm... because I guess Somalian parents don't start work until 3pm? So many lies, so little sense..

I see the @StarTribune reporter has deleted her account and the state has retracted their “closed”defense. A big part of the problem is that many reporters now view their job as simply getting a comment from people involved instead of doing any investigation themselves.
