@thejoshfair @SandoNFL he has them write down their answers before the show and gives them a pen/pad that they don't realize is able to record what they write, so it doesn't matter if they tear up or keep the piece of paper. Oz says he has them to do this so that people don't try to trick HIM.

Mathurin and a 2029 1st for Zubac is an okay deal. Mathurin, Jackson, the #5 pick in this draft and a 2029 first is insanity lol

I get the idea behind this post but saying you’re “surprised” that a basic 50/50 shot didn’t go in your favor because you felt you were “due some luck” doesn’t exactly give the impression that a proper risk assessment was done before doing this trade

I'm really sorry to all our fans. I own taking this risk. Surprised it came up 5th after this year. I thought we were due some luck. But please remember - this team deserved a starting center to compete with the best teams next year. We have always been resilient.

Come on, dude. At $20m a year, you get Zubac as a starter. There is no comparison to the 5th pick in a draft that has 3 top players. The entire team is back next year and now there is a starting center. It is win now. The year began without three starters and the Pacers were not "healthy" until after All Star. Obi didn't come back to much later.... KP, Chad and Ted have done an insane job building a team with a small budget in a mid market city... smh

Pacers risked losing a potential star acquisition .
They used #5 pick for a staring C, & at 5 there will be a plethora of players… at positions they are stacked.
Top 4 would’ve been icing. The cake is still pretty good

While it could've been a transformative piece going forward, I don't see anyone at 5 being that missing piece. The trade didn't impact our ability to land one of the top 4.
The Pacers would have Acuff and no starting center. Mathurin would've left in free agency. Even in a sign and trade opportunity, base year compensation would've hampered their ability to use him in a trade. Likely would've had to include Obi Toppin.

There are a lot of dumb takes about the Zubac trade now. I would've traded Mathurin, Acuff/Wagler and whatever late round pick goes in 2029 for Zubac.
A healthy Pacers team is a EC favorite next year.
Most of you have never watched Zubac play.

@TonyREast @JustEsBaraheni Absolutely the right mentality for Pacers fans. That pick landing Top 4 could’ve been huge, but Zubac is one of the 5 or so best centers in the league. Pacers with healthy Hali and the same depth minus Mathurin that just went far in the East is a great team.
