In a turbulent international period, Government has responded substantively. We will keep the economic situation under review to support vital sectors that keep jobs and the economy going.

A judge has said it is "extraordinary" that a TD and others who provided character references for a former government advisor convicted of sexually exploiting a 13-year-old at a children's camp failed to mention the "vile nature" of the crime committed. jrnl.ie/7011768

Every year the asylum bill grows by ~€1.4billion. The only way to solve this is to push back against the ECHR & to stop people arriving from Belfast. Everything else is lipstick on a pig.
Nick Delehanty 🇮🇪@Nick_Delehanty

Every week ~180 to 270 new people arrive to feed the Emergency Accommodation industry. Each arrival will cost the taxpayer €122,000. This means each year the taxpayer is being saddled with €1.46billion in extra taxes.

Garda Commissioner, Justin Kelly, issued an extremely bizarre statement thanking members of An Garda Siochána for their "professionalism and dedication". Yes, the teenager pepper sprayed with mace was very professional. The innocent grandfather and farmer going to plough the field and dragged from tractor was the pinnacle of professionalism. And sarcasm aside, the poor farmer certainly felt the dedication of the POU thug that stamped on his skull, that much is certain. I wonder does he think Killarney Garda station member, Gillian O'Donoghue conduct was "professional", a Garda that works with special needs children, and called Irish "spastics", and abused Irish people in a hateful manner.

FF junior minister Niall Collins says the fuel protests have gone too far. Niall receives a taxpayer-funded tax-free payment of around €400 a week to cover his dodgy mileage claims. There are protesters who have to work a full week to earn what Niall gets just for his diesel.
