Days like this reminds me why I never chase I don't care how great the stock is, I will never buy just because the company is good if it is overextended A great cost basis takes the emotions out of your trading which is the #1 reason most don't succeed

My notebook has told me several times what an opportunity $HIMX was/is. Every time I asked to put companies in certain metrics/frameworks I like to use, they were always number 1. But still, I never took the time to fully investigate the opportunity. Looks like the AI was right.

@xai @AnthropicAI @Kaizen_Investor is there Filtronic possibility here? Can modern AI hardware survive a launch? Can it operate in orbit? Can it process data, update models, and send results back to Earth without routing everything through terrestrial data centers?

The sell off was insane, didn’t even hold at $6 much less $5. I’m long on it still, I think you can’t overlook the SpaceX investment into it and future optionality as long as they execute and demand is real. I have a minor position so my risk is low but I have a terrible entry and I’d rather not DCA.

Have you actually run the numbers on $OUST? If so, it's hard to be bearish below $30. The estimated TAM by 2030 is $70B so Ouster analysts forecasting for 1.3% penetration by 2030. That's a very conservative assumption...but one we can base our estimates on for a more base case. $900M in revenue by 2030 means 40% CAGR in revenue for the next 5 years. A very good assumption considering management forecast 30-50% annual revenue growth for the foreseeable future. $900M in revenue at 7x sales gives (also conservative given a 40% CAGR), gives you a $6.3B market cap. It's $1.6B today.

I don’t think the market fully understands what Rev8 is yet. Let me elaborate. $OUST $TSLA @elonmusk @ousterlidar Rev8 isn’t just “better LiDAR” — it’s pushing into camera territory, and that matters for autonomy. • 48-bit color vs iPhone ~24-bit → dramatically higher color precision, especially in low light or subtle texture differences • 116 dB HDR vs iPhone ~80–90 dB → far more resilient to glare, direct sun, headlights, and shadow transitions • Megapixel 3D point cloud → from sparse geometry to image-like spatial detail Even high-end industrial cameras typically run ~10–12 bit and ~100–120 dB HDR. Rev8 is now in that class — while also giving you native depth. Why this matters for robotaxis and robotics: Pure vision systems like @Tesla FSD struggle with: Glare (sunset, wet roads, headlights) Extreme contrast (tunnels, shadows) Scale ambiguity (is it a shadow or an object?) Low-light noise Rev8 directly addresses these: 116 dB HDR → maintains perception in blinding light + deep shadow in the same frame 48-bit color → preserves signal fidelity where cameras clip or quantize Native 3D + color → eliminates depth ambiguity entirely This isn’t just incremental. It’s the first time a single sensor starts to close the gap on what pure vision can’t reliably do — while removing the need for fragile sensor fusion. If this scales, it doesn’t just improve LiDAR. It reshapes the entire perception stack.

LiDAR as a camera—for the first time! Don’t worry about the tiny sell-off this morning. In fact, selling here will soon be proven pretty dumb. $OUST One big difference between Ouster’s Rev8 and Hesai’s recent Picasso chip release is that Ouster will ship this product in July, while Hesai “plans to start production later this year.” Also heard the tech of the two are quite different and Ouster Rev8 is the real true color sensor while Hesai uses color filters(to be confirmed). Hope @zoox @nuro @Waymo @aurora_inno are taking notes.

$OUST next-gen Rev8 LiDAR: the world’s first native color lidar sensors For the first time, a single lidar sensor can understand road signs, interpret brake lights, or simply capture the richness of planet earth in survey-grade, colorized maps.

The secret to great investing isn’t just about indicators or signals. It’s about picking high-quality stocks, holding them with conviction, and having the discipline to buy more when they go on sale. Buy quality. Hold long. Add on dips. Let the power of compounding do the rest!

I spent two weeks researching the space communications evolution. The real bottleneck in the LEO mega-constellation race? Whoever can push 50–100W of GaN power at V-band and E-band frequencies wins. In the article: → The difference between Ka-band and V- or E-band → Why GaN-on-SiC is a non-reversible shift → Who holds the moat in V-band and E-band SSPAs

@PhotonCap This was when the stock hit my accumulation zone ($114) and now it’s back at base. I think it go higher but I’m not one to do earnings plays, will size up if earnings are good and we see some news. Btw this is just a summary, I have docs if people want more research.

Just noticed its shown in one of the pictures in the article you shared. But it has the industrial, defense, and medical edge (not data center exposed). I'm curious why photonics in these cases get little limelight. Here's AI synthesis of my research (Apr 29th snapshot): #8p5cgUXG1n" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">limewire.com/d/ZrQbX#8p5cgU
