KG is not a player I had any chance at acquiring at a value, which is how you build winning teams. He required a high draft pick and then became the consensus #1 prospect within half a season. Now people on X claim he is the best prospect in 10 years. The door is shut for now. Contrast with McGonigle, who was the 37th overall MLB pick and then spent two seasons in the minors showing promise (that the model and I picked up on) before 2025's breakout that catapulted him to the top of prospect rankings. The opportunity windows for these two players were massively different.

One of my fantasy leagues is very competitive every year. $2k prize for the winner. One guy mailed it in this year. Whole roster was auto-drafted. Only move he made all year was subbing out Kyler for Brissett when he got hurt. He just won the league. Fantasy is dumb sometimes.
