@ShiftMaster53 triple deluxe is genuinely so peak (tho i suppose i might be biased bc its one of my most played kirby games from when i was a kid plus it was the first video game i ever 100%ed, i just have really fond memories of it)

Actually unlike Sonic Superstars, Kirby Triple Deluxe has banging bosses, and is a very very great game in general, go play it!
I love how tense the series' Meta Knight duels, are with him blocking your attacks when he himself is not attacking, and reacting to your every move

@ShiftMaster53 Y’know this made me think: In Mass Attack, he turns blue when he’s a hit away from dying. I’d like a True Arena mode where you HAVE to no hit to win. Not required obviously but I’d like the option.

Being a massive fan of Kirby and Sonic, yeah Kirby’s highs AND lows are better than Sonic’s. I’d say one of the things Sonic does better than Kirby is his music. Triple Deluxe beats out Generations, I’m afraid.

@Ohnimus210 I’m so confused, the question is “who has better games OVERALL”. It’s so obviously Kirby because the series is consistent. This doesn’t mean Sonic sucks, but in comparison to Kirby this question makes him look bad. IMO Sonic’s highs do not outweigh Kirby’s. SxSGens is a 9/10.

Very hot take but Sonic
Sure, Kirby has lot of good games, but they usually only ever hit the 6-7/10 spot. Whereas Sonic, while he has more stinkers, has REALLY HIGH HIGHS, like genuine 10/10 games, which I’d argue balanced the stinkers out and gives him the edge here

What’s your point here? I’d definitely take consistently good games over a gamble between peak and awful. I wouldn’t even say Kirby has the same thing. All mainline games give you SOMETHING to switch up the play style. And the spinoffs really change for the better IMO.

but yeah I'll agree KDL3 is kind of awful in that regard but it can't compare to 1/2 the games listed

@fatmadrista SxSGens IS my favorite Sonic game and I’ve played it multiple times but man, it’d definitely benefit from DLC levels cause it’s too short.
I’d say the Rush games are maybe better than Super Star Ultra though.
