This was a decent #StateofPlay and #GodofWar was a Big Surprise….but really? That’s what Sekhmet looks like in this franchise? She’s supposed to have the head of a lioness. And they just gave her this? Some people even said she looked like an Aztec God, not even an Egyptian one.

the more I rewatch the trailer, the less I think the sword is the real clue. Phranque immediately notices Faye isn’t all there in Everywhen. Rue doesn’t trust her. Phranque does. then he convinces Rue to hand over this apparent legendary sword that Faye immediately promises to return. that’s not a loot drop. that’s not an upgrade. that’s a custodian entrusting a relic to someone who needs it. what if this shit isn’t Caliburn, Excalibur, Kusanagi, or Fragarach? what if it's the relic those legends grew from?

THEORY: What if Sekhmet is in the afterlife of the gods “Everywhen” because Kratos will have beaten her in our future, in a Kratos game set in Egypt?🚀 The afterlife from LAUFEY is called “Everywhen” which likely has a flow of time that is different from earth, or at least non-linearly. So maybe we will see events happening in Laufey’s world, because of things that are yet to happen in Kratos’ world. Because who else could beat THE Goddess of War Sekhmet other than Kratos?😎

Controversies aside, the main reason I’m looking forward to God of War: Laufey is because it reminds me of Heavenly Blade, and I’ve been trying to fill that void for YEARS. Agile female protagonist, flashy melee combat, mythology, dramatic fantasy vibes… yeah, they got me.
