@TALKINFRIARS @TurnoutMMA Every fighter under coach cal went there with the goal of developing “god tier cardio” only for their cardio to look sus because they’re too worn down by the time they make it to the cage. And then EPO being a banned substance thing is extremely detrimental.

If you were wondering why Khamzat Chimaev had such a bad weight cut look no further. 😭 They were literally training down the street from one of the best strength and conditioning coaches in MMA my guy Chase, who also trains all the Kings MMA pro fighters. Coach Cal was a math teacher for 35 years and did run a decent wrestling camp in Montana for years as well as do triathlons but that David Goggins type training method did not help Khamzat at all in his fight with Strickland the same way it didn’t help Tony Ferguson or Izzy.

@TALKINFRIARS @TurnoutMMA TJ’s career notably went downhill after his work with Coach Cal. Popped for EPO as well the same week he was calling Coach Cal a “mad scientist” Cal is brilliant, to a fault, what he’s doing is breaking these guys down too much to actually compete at the highest level

Like, recently someone said to me Ilia would get KO by any unranked heavyweight and I lol'd. Heavyweights are just fat if THEY lost weight and fought in their real weight they'd be the less skilled ones by a mile.

@ccmembersonly They should instead have it by lanky, proportional, or stocky. The real metric that matters for positional and submission variance is body type/structure which in a round about way people can try to extrapolate from just height alone (tall -> long -> good at darces, etc)

Every time a celebrity appears at an event and they're suddenly sporting a sunken face and look like it's been years since they've eaten, people start flipping about how GLP drugs did it. You hear things like "You can tell it's Ozempic. That stuff needs to be banned" etc. The fact is, it's not the drugs. GLPs don't cause this. Eating disorders cause this. GLP drugs simply make it easier for people with body dysmorphic disorder to starve themselves. Had they starved themselves without the drugs, the result would look the same. This is simply malnutrition. It's not the drug. Had they used the drug responsibly and ate correctly, there'd be no issue. The reason already very thin people are taking them is as I said before, an issue of an eating disorder. The same goes for bone loss and osteoporosis. The drug isn't causing it. It's being caused by malnutrition. This is remedied by using it responsibly and not starving yourself. Don't be another idiot spreading misinformation on things you know nothing about.
