Simon Harris is today worried about cancer patients because it suits him to use them as a stick to beat protesters. He didn't care about the women caught up in the Cervical check scandal when he lied to them about never having to go to court for compensation. Several women with terminal cancer had to go to court with only months to live. He is a horrible individual and should never be in a position of power.

Such political figures will never be seen in Ireland again until EU power is dismantled and sovereignty and competency returned individual states and the EU is returned to its original institution purely as an economic union. It will happen. There is a significant disconnection between ordinary citizens and the institution. It's not working. They haven't been able to crush individual cultures but their attempts have backfired.

We do have a crisis though, when both government and opposition appear inept and without vision. I don’t see any FitzGerald, Spring, O’Malley or Lemass in the Dáil. MM & Harris are weaklings.

The government has decided to pepper spray citizens before speaking to them. This government is fuelling discontent rather than reducing tensions. The opposition should call a motion of no confidence in this government.
