NEW: After I tracked down a passenger from the MV Hondius traveling through several countries after leaving the ship after the hantavirus outbreak began, I discovered New York hadn't been alerted to the Manhattan resident as a possible contact case. How that happened, and how the CDC has been monitoring the passengers who left the ship on April 24, --with another American woman only appearing on public health authorities' radars after she showed up on a South Pacific island--raises questions about contact tracking in a critical window for outbreak tracking, experts said. The dual national New Zealand and American was in Taiwan, after attending a global conference in Vietnam, and got into contact with New Zealand on Tuesday, after I had begun making inquiries, having previously not responded to New Zealand's attempts to contact her. It's unknown if the CDC was aware of her locations around the globe. With @NoahHurowitz theintercept.com/2026/05/15/cdc…

Today marks the 78th anniversary of the Nakba (catastrophe), during which more than 750,000 Palestinians were expelled and over 400 villages were destroyed to establish the State of Israel.

This is exactly how Covid spread around in the beginning, by rich people going to these international conferences and being superspreaders. Everyone who disembarked on April 24 should be subject to mandatory quarantine, and not be going to crowded events all over the world!

New York🇺🇸-based MV Hondius cruise passenger who disembarked on Apr 24 went to a Hanoi🇻🇳 conference last week for extreme travelers (150 guests who've visited 100+ countries), potentially passing through Hong Kong🇨🇳 Bangkok🇹🇭. Her current location is unknown @JSweetLI reports...

The passengers from the Hantavirus cruise should not have been allowed to take commercial flights home The virus spreads person to person There’s asymptomatic transmission It has a 40% fatality rate Asking them to “self isolate” after mixing with thousands of people is a joke

Covid is in the top 5 most contagious diseases on the planet, but it took the WHO 6 months to admit it is airborne. Their definition of airborne is ridiculous. If people are getting sick without any direct contact with the host or their bodily fluids. The virus is airborne.
Prof. Jose-Luis Jimenez@jljcolorado

1) Something very clear from this Hantavirus outbreak is that @WHO is still quite confused about airborne transmission Still confuse "close contact" (a setting) with a mechanism of transmission Do not understand that ease of transmission in close proximity ==> likely airborne

By the time authorities admitted Covid was airborne, millions of people had already died. The Andes strain of Hantavirus spreads person to person. Everyone on the boat should have been quarantined. You don’t “wait & see” with a virus that has a 40% fatality rate.
