ICE has been terrorizing workers at Sofi Stadium. I stand with @UNITEHERE Local 11 in calling on FIFA and KSE, the owner of Sofi Stadium, to demand that ICE play no part in the World Cup. These workers are also asking for and deserve fair pay and working conditions. It's embarrassing to think that fans would come from around the world to see ICE terrorizing California residents. Rafe Pomerance was one of the earliest advocates in the fight against climate change. He rang the alarm and helped the United States government take the threat of a warming world seriously. Though they may never know his name, millions of people around the country and world have benefitted from his tenacious advocacy and fight for a cleaner planet. Rafe holds a special place in my heart. Husband of one of my mother's best friends, he was a kind, curious, and thoughtful person. I am so grateful for the conversations and memories we shared over the decades. Our entire family feels blessed to have had Rafe in our lives. We continue to hold him in our hearts and prayers along with his wife, our Auntie Lenore; his children, Benjamin, Lilah, and Ethan; his siblings, grandchildren, and all who loved him.
