FYI I live 1.8 miles from ground zero in Minneapolis. Most of the fools who respond are just reacting to the talking point of the day. The difference is the majority of ice agents were hired very recently, only have 6 weeks training, and took the job for the $50k immediate bonus. They are incompetent and don’t even have basic crowd control skills that cops and military do. In addition, in this political climate, people who take this job tend to be bullies looking to mess people up. For instance there is an ice offer with Nazi tattoo on his neck who has been spotted several times around town by people I know. Additionally, it was discovered days ago that ice now has an internal policy of breaking and enter at will without judicial warrant, which is insane and unheard of, and just typical of the belligerence of this agency and administration. Agents are going door to door asking for papers, asking if neighbors are non-white. They are raiding hospitals and interrupting medical care. They are invading schools and traumatizing students. My wife, who is a naturalized citizen and a doctor, is carrying a copy of her passport so that she does not get abducted. I am driving her to work and back because she is afraid to be alone. Make no mistake, this is not about immigration — it is about punishing Minnesota and Trump’s ego. That is clear if you live here. Why else would the administration agree to back off in exchange for voting records?
