I’ll finish with this: Kentucky has the best fan base in the world. I have witnessed it first hand. However, the toxicity and negativity can be overwhelming and suffocating. Gotta remember to use the size and intensity of this fan base for good.

A lot of you need a reality check. Maybe recruits aren’t interested in playing at a school whose fanbase loudly bashes its own coach and players.
Maybe the national media views Kentucky as unserious because there’s a lack of respect coming from within its own fanbase.
Just a thought…especially considering how glued we all are to social media.
Who’s to say a potential transfer isn’t reading the comments on JQ’s post? I wouldn’t feel too great about coming here either.

I am sick and tired of seeing this side of the fan base. The toxicity is exhausting to see every day. This is an 18-year-old kid. It’s incredibly weird to be in his comments while he’s thanking a fanbase (one that, by the way, has been negative toward him all season) and calling him a con artist. You have no idea what he went through, and that kind of response is just distasteful. He could’ve easily made this post with no regard to Kentucky and yet he did. I don’t know how anyone expects recruits to want to come here when the fanbase so openly and comfortably treats its own players like this. Show some respect. Show some support to a kid getting to fulfill his dream to playing at the next level.
