@therealgsj @MattBloomFilms @linholden @marksandspencer Not at all. The buck stops with CEO. If customer service being unreasonable and if no one else to escalate it to, CEO needs to step up. Its not a minor complaint- it’s potentially mid-selling which is serious.

So @marksandspencer won't honour my elderly dad's expired gift card - even though they don't put an expiry date on the card 🙄 and their gift card query phone line cost us £1 a minute 🙄🙄. Customer service petty and unhelpful. So won't ever shop there again.

@linholden @MattBloomFilms @marksandspencer If it’s the case of being given the run around, then it’s last resort, but for a case of something thats not right and you just want your own way, it’s a horrendous approach. A good CEO would never undermine their front line staff and just give in to demands just cos they want it

@linholden @marksandspencer Good advice :) I DID email the CEO! Were unhelpful. Said there's an expiry from the 'first transaction' which any customer would read as meaning 'when you first use it' but they said it means 'when the card was bought'. But it was a gift from someone else!
