@ScottishLabour why does @D_G_Alexander not allow us to communicate with him on this platform? Is it because he is busy checking he does accidentally claim £12k in expenses again or is it too difficult with all the different time zones he is travelling through? Fraud.

@AnasSarwar You do know that when you say “new direction” (see also “change”) that the electorate expect that PR word salad to be backed up by the odd policy. You just trot out the same meaningless phrases day after day. Can you give one example of what this new direction would be?

@AnnabelDenham1 Should you not pay VAT if you have already paid income tax? If I buy a packet of sweets from my wage I shouldn’t have to pay VAT because I have already paid income tax? Or is it just schools fees VAT that this applies to?

Exempting independent schools from VAT is not a "luxury". Parents educating their children privately have already paid income tax – money which goes towards the state schools they don't use. This punitive levy has nothing to do with "affordability". It's born out of pure spite.

@johnadgrady So we can celebrate Hanukkah Mr Grady but we should denigrate our school pupils at every opportunity? Very worrying that you are a political representative. As others have said are you going to offer any solutions?

Very worrying report - Scotland's education system must work to improve attainment in STEM subjects. These are critical to ensure our young people have the brightest possible careers - and for Scotland's economic progress.
Enlighten@enlighten_scot

New report from the Commission on School Reform highlights worrying FOI data based on the number of pupils in the S4 cohort, rather than the number which sit the exams. While 75% of S4 pupils passed Nat 5 English in 2024, only 40% passed Nat 5 Maths reformscotland.com/publication/br…

@Forste62651Dean @NickBuckleyMBE The UK is our sovereign nation. Until that fact gets through the thick skulls of Nationalists we continue to have a problem. Devolution made this worse. Some of us have fought very hard to stay British and we get it thrown back in our faces as if we don't matter.

England, My England – my new book is published I explore the death of England and how it can be rescued from those who do not deserve the honour of being called English. I make a case that the end of this green and pleasant has not been finalised and is ready to spring back to life if the English wish it. Let me begin with a fact. Everything wrong in England is the fault of English men - there is no debate on this. It is a fact. We have not lived up to the expectations of our ancestors. They handed over this green and pleasant land for us to protect and improve so that we can hand it over to the next generation. We have broken this ancient tradition that spans over a thousand years. The book highlights the failing of our political class who lie at the heart of the problem for we replaced conviction politicians with career politicians and public service with self-service. Unless we use democracy to our advantage and vote in a better quality of politician then nothing will change until violent revolution erupts. Our problems are many: Mass Immigration. Crime. Unemployment. Large State. Government Interference. Rejection Of Merit. Failing Universities. Poor education. Laziness. Entitlement. Lack Of Confidence. Rejection Of Personal Responsibility. Lack Of Morality. Lack Of Patriotism. Lack Of Self Respect. National Debt. Welfare Dependency. Abortion. Career Politicians. Poor Parenting. Weak Men. Patriotism is the first step to save England. If we do not love this country then who will? We have a lot to be proud about: England created the modern world through science, inventions and Empire. We gave the world the greatest of all gifts - a world language. I am serious when I say that England is long overdue recognition and a huge thank you. “If you do not know where you come from, then you don't know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you're going. And if you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.” - Terry Pratchett I raise the question of who will benefit from a diminished England? Every country has enemies, it is just a matter of looking around and seeking them out in the shadows. Defeating your enemy without fighting by using their citizens to destroy their own country is genius. Are we too stupid to what is happening to us? “England is not the greatest country to ever exist, only the greatest to exist up to now.” - Nick Buckley The last chapter gives hope and reassurance to all English patriots. The end is not nigh. The country is not finished. I offer guidance on how we can be part of the solution regardless of who we are, our limitations or constraints. The days of not fighting for England are over, how you fight back is down to you. The only option you have now is to live on your knees, or die on your feet. If England falls, where do the English go? -------------------------- Click link for book: amzn.eu/d/73PuOQ4

Since the SNP nationalised ScotRail, performances have continued to decline and commuters are experiencing endless delays and cancellations. Scottish taxpayers are fed up of paying more and getting worse services under the SNP👇 dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1…

Sadly, this is true. As Home Secretary I was appalled by the mandatory training that Home Office civil servants had to undergo. It was a waste of time, a bad use of taxpayer money and fundamentally wrong. I went through it personally to find tonnes of material criticising the British Empire in a wholly unbalanced way, presumptions of ‘white privilege’ and ‘unconscious bias’ and recommended books written by left-wing academics supporting these damaging ideas. I embarked on a programme of work to scrap it all. There was a lot of resistance. I was told I would be ‘on the wrong side of history’ for doing so. I ploughed on but left office before the work was complete: a win for the senior civil service! This needs to stop. Civil servants are supposed to deliver ministerial instructions, not engage in left-wing activism. telegraph.co.uk/politics/2024/…

@reformparty_uk So is two tier justice ok as long as it’s your two tier justice? Not that the CPS will have been influenced by a pair of grifting charlatans in any case.

Statement by Nigel Farage and Richard Tice on the CPS finally charging the men who assaulted police officers at Manchester Airport. It’s clear that Reform UK are the only party in the UK that stand for a single tier justice system and law and order to be applied to everyone.

How effective is Scotland's benefits agency at fighting fraud ? Out of 8,000+ fraud allegations there was just one referral to prosecutors - and that case was dropped ! The SNP's Cabinet Secretary for Social Justice does not accept there is a problem.

@JeremyVineOn5 Your use of the word “still” in the final paragraph is unnecessary. Thousands of households is a surprisingly low number though. Not tens of thousands. About as popular as GB News then.

Is it your duty to watch the King's Speech on Christmas Day? With just over a week to go, will you be scheduling in time to watch the King's Speech and stand for the National Anthem on the big day? It's a tradition for thousands of households - but do you still do it?
