Actually, ecumenists like @GodLogic_GL or @InspiringPhilos ARE exclusivists - they REJECT and exclude anyone who doesn’t accept their dogma of LCD “mere Christianity.”

@BishopJaxi Watched the full video. Ryan won the debate, and that kid kept jumping from text to text hoping something would stick (Nothing did). Clever editing here though.

This is why Ryan spends most of his time making videos debating himself. He got absolutely exposed and cooked.

Ryan: “don’t trust obedience” St Paul: God will “repay to each according to his works… to those who are selfishly ambitious and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, wrath and anger.” Rom 2:5-8. DIRECT CONTRADICTION!
needGod.net@needGod_net

Eastern Orthodox folks, know that there is salvation available to you, if you put your trust only in what Christ did on the cross to save, and not your obedience at all. Your and my obedience will never be adequate, but Christ's is!

@AustinUphoff @DannySlavich He says “I think” because that’s his pastoral application. Which I’m fine with. He says earlier the context is Paul destroying opponents argument against God. They quoted that verse in the article as if Paul was talking about our personal thoughts.

@thescriptures1 @DannySlavich I quoted the article you sent. The two things that Piper suggests are applications of the text. "This means two things that any Christian should do...submit all thoughts to scrutiny and ask the Spirit to work." This can certainly be applied to OCD, esp thoughts that lead away +

This article locates the theological principle for addressing OCD in the wrong place. Those with OCD symptoms need less to ask God for forgiveness for their thoughts. Instead, they need to trust his providential presence when they strike.

How should Christians understand and fight intrusive thoughts? This essay challenges modern psychological explanations of OCD and points believers to a biblical understanding of intrusive thoughts, emphasizing Christ, Scripture, and the hope of sanctification. ow.ly/fwnF50YYZuh

@AustinUphoff @DannySlavich That’s a good thing to do it’s just not what Paul is talking about in 2 Cor 10:5. Piper states as much. So using the verse prescriptively in the context of ocd is a well meaning but abusive use of the text.

@thescriptures1 @DannySlavich "Destroy in my mind any false or proud thoughts that I have about God.” This really means two things, I think, that Sarah and I — and anybody else, any Christian — should do... Submit all thoughts to scrutiny, Ask the Holy Spirit to work." Does this only apply to wanted thoughts?

What people like Julie Roys do is extremely destructive and self-serving. I thank God for my friend @MalachiOBrien taking the OPPOSITE tack. Grace, love, and forgiveness. Which is why I wrote the foreword to his excellent book on the subject. amazon.com/Time-Rise-Over…
Dr. Malachi - (Dr. Run)@malachiobrien

I wrote a book on overcoming accusation not to sell books, but to give language to what the vast majority of believers are feeling and sensing. (Link in comments) “Christian TMZ” — aka the “Failure Porn Cartel” or “Condemnation Culture” — is loud. It is fueled by the flesh, not by the Spirit. It is an assault on the Gospel itself. You can not have encounters with God and in obedience to the Spirit say such things. There are two kinds of people driving it 1. Those who build significance by posting video after video — very Candace Owens-like in style. Full of insinuation and religiously camouflaged opinion. Often cynical. Many seem less concerned with whether something is true and more concerned with whether people believe it is true. The collateral damage is devastating. The exploitation of pain is pervasive. 2. Those who flood the comments with vile and hateful statements. The people posting these videos rarely call for restraint or caution in the comment section. Why? Because they know exactly what they are stirring up. All of this is an assault on mercy, grace, forgiveness, and redemption. You will notice something else: the people making exposure videos never make videos exposing their own worst sins. Why? Because somehow their sin is always treated as less severe than the people they target. I have noticed that those who do ask for forgiveness or take ownership of things brought to light are NEVER given grace. Rather the repentance is judged through the lens of the cartel. I am convinced they want people to either kill themselves or go to Hell based on the replies and the public shames heaped upon people. Most, (not all), of what is called "church hurt" is not real. Sorry. It is not. You don't like authority or simply are not under any real spiritual covering. I FULLY KNOW THAT this post does not answer every legitimate question — and I understand that. Questions about accountability, justice, alleged victims, and how to address "fallen leaders" matter deeply. I intend to address those issues in future videos because they are valid questions. Most importantly, I want to see Jesus loved supremely above all else, and I want to see the Church love and build one another up instead of tearing each other apart. You want to come alive today? Go tell someone else about Jesus! Go spend an hour in prayer. Give yourself to a season of fasting. Watch what happens. Go read "Why revival tarries" by Ravenhill. You will find yourself on the floor repenting of your sins. Go serve in your church. Pray for your pastor. Encourage someone who is hurting. Love people more than ever. Life is too short to be triggered all the time. In the words of Tony Robbins: “Life is not what happens to you. It is the story you tell yourself about what happens to you.”

@Anikatsuki1 @ThyPaddyDaddy Not talking about justification before God. Protestants agree faith and works are inseparable, just not in the way you think. Faith without works is dead, we affirm that 100%.

@ThyPaddyDaddy Huh? Justification is by faith alone. You are heaven bound the moment you believe. Heavenly rewards will be dispensed on the basis of good works. Ultimately the works themselves are Gods gift to us as well. Protestants always make that distinction.

@Dominic4JChrist @fistofnicaea I don’t hate Dyer btw. I actually think he’s funny sometimes and I like that he exposes Ruslan who I’m no fan of. That being said he’s a horrible influence on the impressionable orthobros.

@thescriptures1 @fistofnicaea I see Protestants constantly complaining about Jay Dyer on the most random posts that have absolutely nothing to do with him. It’s their escape route to not engage with an argument. They’ll just say “Jay is mean and you’re an Orthobro.”

@Dominic4JChrist @fistofnicaea I don’t think it’s Protestants bringing him up as much as it’s orthobros spawning whenever someone outside their church insinuates they themselves are a true Christian.

@thescriptures1 @fistofnicaea He’s up there, but he’s not the most prominent. You’re probably under the assumption that he is because your feed is Protestant based and Protestants can’t go one post without somehow bringing up Jay dyer.

@thescriptures1 @fistofnicaea Jay Dyer isn’t the epitome of Eastern Orthodoxy either. It’s only Protestants who seem to think he is because I see them mention him on almost every single post. He’s a small apologetic YouTuber. There’s small apologetic Protestant YouTubers that do bad stuff too.

I swear. If I see the "Orthodox Church charges $250+ for their baptism" posts again. I'm gonna lose my marbles at the sheer desperation of prots to be underhanded when they run out of arguments.

@fistofnicaea @thescriptures1 Not everyone can debate well. I have never heard an ortho give a good response to any of his questions though. Ryan pretty much wins by default because his positions are sound and scripture based.
