Two teachers that I know quite well & have a lot of time for both left the profession today. Neither has any intention of ever setting foot inside the classroom again. I still don't think the DfE have any idea of how bad the retention crisis is going to get over the coming years.

@thetechfolio Hi there, the RMT have announced industrial action will take place on 13, 14, 16 and 17 December and on 3, 4, 6 and 7 January. We're waiting for confirmation on how this will affect our train service. We'll post any information as soon as we have it. ^Emily

@MrBoothY6 This is ridiculous and the reason why people leave the profession. It’s totally unreasonable.

My heart breaks for teachers when I see stuff like this. Twitter, for all its arguments and differences, is often miles ahead in terms of good practice, but this sort of stuff is absolutely prevalent on FB. This type of leadership, lack of trust and over accountability reeks.
