🆘🆘 ROSEMARY (ID 258275), 12 YO, FEMALE – IN QUEENS ACC - came into the shelter as a stray on 6/27/2026. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿 ➡️TBD 7/14/26 ➡️ SENIOR ALERT ➡️ MEDICAL PRIORITY – NEEDS MORE CARE AND ATTENTION THAN THE SHELTER CAN PROVIDE – IN FELINE ICU😱😱😱 ➡️ TOO LOW ON PLEDGES TO STIMULATE RESCUE INTEREST 🆘🆘 2ND Chance on Emergency Placement List – VERY URGENT – 🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱 ➡️ 16 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT ➡️ ROSEMARY IS ON THE EPL FOR MEDICAL REASONS - Rosemary is a sweet, underweight, old cat with some severe bloodwork changes that are suggestive of cancer. She is clinically doing well in shelter (bright, interactive, great appetite), and her bloodwork values and weight have improved, but her long term prognosis remains guarded to poor. Behaviorally, Rosemary is amenable to handling and petting. This evaluation/diagnosis means that ROSEMARY will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 What my friends at ACC say about me: My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet! I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me. What do you get when you cross a cat with a couch? A cat-potato! And that's me to a T! I am a sweet, social, older gal, looking for the perfect forever home! Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy! Rosemary interacts with the assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is suitable for any level of adopter experience. ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻 NEEDS OUT OF SHELTER ASAP – Please RT or pledge, if you can, to save this little one. @AdamsPaulGrimke 💔😿🙏Thank you

🆘🆘 MIU MIU (ID 252844), 4 YO, MALE– IN QUEENS ACC - came into the shelter as an owner surrender on 4/25/2026, with the surrender reason stated as person circumstance- moving - no pets allowed. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿 ➡️TBD 7/14/26 ➡️ TOO LOW ON PLEDGES TO STIMULATE RESCUE INTEREST ➡️ 🆘🆘 2ND Chance on Emergency Placement List – VERY URGENT – 🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱 ➡️ 79 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT ➡️ MIU MIU IS ON THE EPL FOR BEHAVIORAL REASONS - She is not thriving in the care center and continues to display challenging behavior during interactions. She is extremely intelligent and high energy, and needs to expend energy constructively with interactive play sessions 3-4X/day. In addition to playtime, this cat would also benefit from mental exercise from activities such as puzzle toys/games, lick mats, or clicker training. Without providing activity for her mind and body, the cat may react with rough play, potentially resulting in bite/scratch incidents. This designation often means that the cat will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption.🔥🔥🔥🔥 What my friends at ACC say about me: I can go home today! I have been known to shower my favorite people in love! I am looking for a home with a patient person. I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace. I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe. Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy! I love to be loved, but on my own terms! Let's brush up on some feline body language together! I am playful and cute! I am not one to sit still! I will flourish in a home with someone that will keep me mentally and physically active! I am excitable and energetic! I will need positive outlets for my energy! I love to play and will need appropriate toys and positive outlets for my energy. Miu Miu interacts with the observer and appreciates attention, but he has a tendency to become overstimulated and display limited warnings and has a very high energy level. A volunteer writes: Miu Miu looks like he's admiring his own paws when he splays them out on the wall. A momentary distraction from his rolls, he has a unique coordination that is somehow even cuter than it sounds. Brought to us due to a no pet policy, Miu Miu's known as a friendly and outgoing superstar with some pretty clear and defined interests, mainly playtime. He's a smart cat who would love nothing more than to go and do, to play and to pounce, he only needs someone to invite him. Since they haven't just yet, Miu Miu has taken it upon himself to invite him. Rolling around and stretching his paws like it's the best thing ever, we all know that it's only second to meeting you. ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻 NEEDS OUT OF SHELTER ASAP – Please RT or pledge, if you can, to save this little one. @AdamsPaulGrimke @mehser12 💔😿🙏Thank you

🆘🆘 SLIPS (ID 2499438), 4 YO, MALE– IN MANHATTAN ACC - came into the shelter as an aco - owner surrender on 3/12/2026, with the surrender reason stated as animal behavior - too active. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿 🆘🆘 UPDATE – UPDATE – POOR SLIPS WAS RETURNED TO THE EPL ON 7/7/26 – LITERALLY ON BORROWED TIME NOW – BEYOND URGENT – LET’S HELP HIM GET SAFE 🆘🆘 ➡️TBD 7/11/26 ➡️ TOO LOW ON PLEDGES TO STIMULATE RESCUE INTEREST ➡️🆘🆘 12TH Chance on Emergency Placement List – 12 TIMES IS ALMOST UNPRECEDENTED – TIME IS RUNNING OUT FOR SLIPS – MORE TIME VERY UNLIKELY - ALL HANDS ON DECK - NOW IS THE TIME TO ACT/HELP SLIPS - HIGHEST EU/SILENT KILL RISK- VERY LIKELY LAST CALL🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱 ➡️ 120 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT ➡️ SLIPS IS ON THE EPL FOR BEHAVIORAL REASONS - He is not thriving in the care center and continues to display distance-increasing behavior when approached for interactions. He has not warmed up despite staff using treats to build a positive association. This designation often means that the cat will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption.🔥🔥🔥🔥 A volunteer writes: I spent some time with Mr. Slips today, and now that he's more adjusted to the Care Center, he seems like a totally different cat than his earlier notes state: I found him to be playful, gentle, and a lover of any and all human interaction. This handsome youngster waited patiently for me to approach his kennel, and when I did he greeted me with some hearty meows and an invitation to bat around a feather toy. He took a break to munch some chow, then lay down on his side and rolled around to reveal his belly, a sign of trust. Slips really is a fan of humans, and the perfect new pet parent for him is someone who keeps a pile of toys on hand and gives him one-on-one time. He's the kind of cat who will cheer you up when you're feeling blue, listen to you when you talk about your day, and never turn down the opportunity to just hang and enjoy your company. Meet this handsome boy at the Manhattan Care Center today! ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻 NEEDS OUT OF SHELTER ASAP – Please RT or pledge, if you can, to save this little one. @AdamsPaulGrimke @mehser12 💔😿🙏Thank you

🆘🆘 SQUIRREL (ID 198752), 5 YO, MALE– IN MANHATTAN ACC - came into the shelter as an owner surrender on 4/23/2026, with the surrender reason stated as person circumstance- cannot afford to care for. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿 🆘🆘 UPDATE – UPDATE – POOR SQUIRREL WAS RETURNED TO THE EPL ON 7/7/26 – LITERALLY ON BORROWED TIME NOW – BEYOND URGENT – LET’S HELP HIM GET SAFE 🆘🆘 ➡️TBD 7/14/26 ➡️ TOO LOW ON PLEDGES TO STIMULATE RESCUE INTEREST ➡️🆘🆘 11TH Chance on Emergency Placement List – 11 TIMES IS ALMOST UNPRECEDENTED – AND SHELTER AT CAPACITY - ALL HANDS ON DECK - NOW IS THE TIME TO ACT/HELP SQUIRREL- HIGHEST EU/SILENT KILL RISK- VERY LIKELY LAST CALL🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱 ➡81 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT ➡️ SQUIRREL IS ON THE EPL FOR BEHAVIORAL REASONS -He is not thriving in the care center and continues to display distance-increasing behavior when approached for interactions. He has not warmed up despite staff using treats to build a positive association. This designation often means that the cat will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption.🔥🔥🔥🔥 What my friends at ACC say about me: I am looking for a home with a patient person. I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe. Squirrel is not open to interaction at this time and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. Because his previous owner reports he is quiet, friendly, and affectionate in a home environment, we believe the behavior seen in the care center is shelter-specific and this cat would make a great pet but is really struggling in the shelter environment. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in an experienced, home with adopters who are willing to work with a cat who needs time and patience to help him adjust to their new home. A volunteer writes: What's black and white and pink all over? Squirrel is! But it's hard for you to see him because poor little Squirrel has been in a time-out. It's perhaps true that his behavior in the shelter has been squirrelly. One minute he's thrashing around and the next he's watching quietly and patiently as I work a squeeze-up into a dish for him. Squirrel would appear to be an example of someone who's just not himself in the shelter. Squirrel's previous parent described him as quiet, friendly, affectionate, and playful, and has been known to pounce on some human feet; and that he likes to be where the action is, preferring to hang out with the humans at home. Squirrel takes a bum rap for some naughty behavior, but I think he might just need to feel safe and have the opportunity to blow off some steam. Squirrel has a lightweight pugilist's ability to paddle the cat dancer at record speeds, which is no easy feat. His fancy paw work is likely the envy of other aspiring feline athletes. He might even be an athlete-scholar, judging from his intelligent, curious, pale green eyes. He enjoys Temptations treats and Squeeze-ups. ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻 NEEDS OUT OF SHELTER ASAP – Please RT or pledge, if you can, to save this little one. @AdamsPaulGrimke @mehser12 💔😿🙏Thank you

🆘🆘 PUCCI (ID 255481), 5 YO, MALE – IN MANHATTAN ACC - came into the shelter as an owner surrender on 5/27/2026, with the surrender reason stated as not a fit - too many animals already. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿 ➡️TBD 7/14/26 ➡️ MEDICAL PRIORITY – NEEDS MORE CARE AND ATTENTION THAN THE SHELTER CAN PROVIDE – IN MEDICAL SURGEY ROOM😱😱😱 ➡️ TOO LOW ON PLEDGES TO STIMULATE RESCUE INTEREST ➡️ 🆘🆘 2ND Chance on Emergency Placement List – VERY URGENT – 🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱 ➡️ 47 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT ➡️ PUCCI IS ON THE EPL FOR MEDICAL REASONS - He is a sweet cat with severe inflammation of his eyelids and conjunctiva that is not responding to supportive care in shelter. He needs placement in a veterinary clinic and then a peaceful home to recover. This evaluation/diagnosis means that PUCCI will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption.🔥🔥🔥🔥 volunteer writes: Pucci comes from a house full of cats. No information was attached to them as they arrived at the care center...Pucci is a super handsome tiger, a tabby in white boots and mittens who knows how to pose for the photo shoot. He was sooo shy when he came in and so ready now for meets and greets with his visitors. He enjoys petting, leans against my hand, returns soft blinks and purrs softly. Pucci has become a favorite among volunteers as he is so calm, friendly and easy going.. As he comes from a large family of cats, not very much exposed to people, Pucci will likely need time and patience from his new family and a low traffic home without small children to bloom into a happy and lively pet. Will you give Pucci the chance to be yours? He is waiting for you at the Manhattan Care Center. I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them. Pucci has made excellent improvement since his first assessment and was lying quietly inside his cubby. He accepted petting on his head, cheek, and along his back. He was treat-motivated and very sweet. Pucci interacts with the observer, solicits & appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for cat parents with either an average amount of cat experience or demonstrate a basic understanding of typical cat behavior. ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻 NEEDS OUT OF SHELTER ASAP – Please RT or pledge, if you can, to save this little one. @AdamsPaulGrimke 💔😿🙏Thank you

Behaviorally, he has allowed medical handling. This evaluation/diagnosis means that FINN will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption.🔥🔥🔥🔥 What my friends at ACC say about me: My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet! Hi there! My name is Finn! I arrived as a stray so the staff don't know what my life was like before coming to ACC. I only require a little extra paperwork to be filled out and a few extra vet visits this year because one of my injuries was likely a bite wound. Finn interacts with the assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems.
