Today marks Nakba Day, an annual day of remembrance to commemorate the expulsion of more than 700,000 Palestinians between 1947 and 1949 during the creation of the State of Israel and the year that followed. Inea is a New Yorker and a Nakba survivor. She shared her story with us — one of home, tradition and memory over generations.

I’m grateful to our NYPD and federal law enforcement partners for disrupting an alleged plot involving a senior member of Kataib Hezbollah — a federally-designated terrorist organization — who was targeting a Manhattan synagogue, as well as Jewish communities across the country. I am relieved that everyone is safe. The unsealing of the terrorism-related charges comes amid an alarming rise in antisemitism across the country. Let me be clear: antisemitism, violent extremism, and terrorism have no place in our city. This kind of hate is despicable. I’m thankful this alleged attack was stopped before any New Yorkers were hurt.

Breaking News: An Iran-backed militia commander was arrested and charged with plotting to attack Jewish sites in the U.S., including one in New York. Prosecutors say he is a leader of Kataib Hezbollah, an Iraqi militia with ties to Iran. nyti.ms/4fuFtAS

Compare this to the editor who simply approves a US Senator’s @TomCottonAR editorial. From grok: The New York Times’ key statements about James Bennet (the editorial page editor who oversaw/approved publication of Sen. Tom Cotton’s June 3, 2020, op-ed “Send In the Troops”) came in two main phases, leading to his resignation on June 7, 2020 (widely described as effectively forced out amid staff backlash, though formally a resignation).01 1. Initial statement on the op-ed itself (June 4, 2020, via spokesperson Eileen Murphy, after internal uproar but before Bennet’s exit):
“We’ve examined the piece and the process leading up to its publication. This review made clear that a rushed editorial process led to the publication of an Op-Ed that did not meet our standards. As a result, we’re planning to examine both short-term and long-term changes, to include expanding our fact-checking operation and reducing the number of Op-Eds we publish.”325 This implicitly criticized the oversight under Bennet (he had told staff he hadn’t even read the piece before publication). An editor’s note was also added to the op-ed online, stating it “fell short of our standards and should not have been published” due to factual issues and tone.0 2. Statements in the official announcement of Bennet’s resignation (June 7, 2020): •Official NYT Company press release (positive framing of his tenure while announcing the change):
Publisher A.G. Sulzberger said: “James is a journalist of enormous talent and integrity who believes deeply in the mission of The Times. He oversaw a significant transformation of the Opinion department, which broadened the range of voices we publish and pushed us into new formats like video, graphics and audio. I’m grateful for his many contributions.”
(Bennet also issued a brief statement thanking colleagues.)
Katie Kingsbury was named acting editorial page editor; deputy Jim Dao was reassigned to the newsroom.351 •Sulzberger’s internal note to staff (more direct on the reason, tying it to the Cotton op-ed):
“Last week we saw a significant breakdown in our editing processes, not the first we’ve experienced in recent years. James and I agreed that it would take a new team to lead the department through a period of considerable change.”
Sulzberger also told reporters: “Both of us concluded that James would not be able to lead the team through the next leg of change that is required.”367 These reflect the NYT’s public position: Bennet was praised for past work but held responsible for the editorial failure on the Cotton piece (which sparked staff protests and external criticism), leading to leadership change. Note that Bennet resigned rather than being formally fired, though it was under intense pressure. No other editor was prominently described as “fired” in this specific context (a junior editor involved later resigned separately).

Happy Nakba Day to all who celebrate the Arabs self-inflicted catastrophic loss in the war they started in 1948, followed by 78 years of nonstop humiliating defeats dressed up as sacred victimhood ever since 🇮🇱❤️

A breakdown of how Nicholas Kristof discarded journalistic standards, abandoned rationale thinking, and published libelous propaganda masquerading as reporting: ➡️ He relies on just 14 testimonies to allege systemic abuse - and 12 of the sources are anonymous ➡️ One named source is a “journalist” who openly celebrated the October 7 massacre ➡️ Another source came from a Hamas-linked organization known for spreading propaganda and false claims ➡️ Kristof presents no forensic evidence and no meaningful corroboration of testimonies ➡️ The article is entirely one-sided - he failed to interview Israeli prison staff, doctors, or investigators ➡️ Ehud Olmert said Kristof distorted his comments ➡️ The most sensational claim - “rape dogs” - has been described by experts as biologically impossible In short, @NickKristof’s article is built on Hamas sourcing, glaring failures of verification, and the assumption that his readers will believe any horrific claim made against Israel.

There was a time, not very long ago, when Ben Shapiro could reasonably call himself the king of all conservative media. That’s all over now, writes political columnist Ross Barkan. Shapiro’s company, ‘The Daily Wire,’ is instituting significant layoffs. Its YouTube channel’s subscriber base is starting to shrink, and its website has emerged as one of the great traffic losers in conservative media. There are ‘Daily Wire’ YouTube videos that now, after a few days online, have less than 10,000 views, a catastrophically small number for a channel with more than 3 million subscribers. The top comments all mock the low view counts. “If a variety of poor business decisions can be blamed, in part, for the ‘Daily Wire’’s fall from grace — ill-fated investments in feature films, an epic fantasy series, and peculiar merchandise — the greater story is the collapse of Shapiro’s constituency,” writes Barkan. “There are two realities to Shapiro conservatism in 2026: It retains a significant foothold among Republican elites, and it is fast being rejected by the future grassroots of the party.” Read more: nymag.visitlink.me/KtpIKV

According to reports by Nick Kristof and the New York Times: Jeffrey Epstein was actually a Golden Retriever, not a human, that was trained by the Mossad to sexually abuse 14 years old girls😱 They have 20 witnesses to confirm this story
