my short life story: > born in middle class family in Singapore > went through classic educational track > started gambling at 14 > hosted games (blackjack, baccarat, Big 2 etc) with friends in secondary school > made my first $1,000 from gambling > tried online betting at 17 > lost all my money > couldn't tell parents > started smoking because i didn't know what to do > also went into the army > took one last bet during world cup 2012 > won quite abit (but still not enough to compensate for the losses) > decided to stop gambling > then came online poker > started online poker when i was 21 > won huge ~$8,000 (alot for a 21 year old then) > also got my scholarship for university > started playing online poker more aggressively > lost ~$15,000 > quit online poker in 2018 > bought my first ETH and some BTC with the spare change that I had left > graduated from university and started my first job as an engineer > "balloted" successfully for my first property > invested in PLTR because it was IPO-ed the same month i started working (Sep 2020) > discovered perps on Binance > lost $20,000 > 2021 left my engineering job to make a pivot into consulting (thank god i did) > also doubled down on my PLTR investments (and stock portfolio) > also doubled down on BTC and ETH > "joined" crypto twitter in 2023 > discovered Blast > lost about $30,000 worth of ETH on YOLO > told myself enough is enough, no more gambling > and then Blast airdrop gave me more than $30,000 lol > got my 2nd promotion at work at 28 > bought my 2nd property at 29 > now happily married with my wife with plans for kids in 2027 this is a short story of 30 years of my life moral of the story? gambling is ok if you do so moderately im kidding there's really no moral of the story here it's just life

Personal update: I will be stepping down from my role as @MonkeDAO Executive this upcoming term, effective March. It was not the easiest decision, because this organization is full of people I love, care for & enjoy working with. From now on, I'll be cheering the DAO on as a proud member instead while staying on the periphery to lend a hand when needed. I am 100% confident that @jemmmyjemm will continue to lead the team towards excellence. 2 years feels like a very long time in this industry, and I'm proud of what I've built alongside the team. I am incredibly grateful for that DM from Jemmy one fateful day inviting me to join, and for the chance to grow and learn alongside people I respect. I can say with my whole heart that we have come such a long way in that time. We’ve built stronger systems, created more structure across our verticals, while staying lean and taking on as many hats as possible. Being able to see through 2 years of Monkes @ Breakpoint, Solstice, launching our first line of plushies with @EatwithNomu, and pulling off multiple marketing campaigns & partnerships, it was definitely 2 of the most fulfilling years I've had. Forever grateful to the execs beside me in the trenches, and the contributors I've had the privilege to work with: @jemmmyjemm @supersimon77 @moon_settler @Stroll2Stroll @unjustmouse @SOL_HoTsAuCe @maldoio @muggle_ri @cronus_art @bibseebliss @GDamigeana @SMBennyy @devmajesty @GivnerAriel @craig2139 @TheRealGapper and so so many more. I will truly miss working with you guys. So, what's next for me? As of right now, I will have a short break (funemployment!!) and finally take some time to pick up things I've always wanted to learn. Build some good habits as well before stepping into another challenge. I'm also a huge believer in synchronicity, so I'm super excited to see what comes my way and how the future unfolds ✨
