Why is Brazil a top country for @ether_fi usage? Pretty simple. I think a lot of people there see EtherFi more like a crypto neobank than a DeFi protocol. → Move local money in through PIX → App converts it to digital dollars → Either spend it or park it inside EtherFi To me, the appeal is obvious because it gives people a cleaner way to move money, get dollar exposure, and use crypto in a way that feels practical. I like seeing crypto solve real money problems.

it's honestly hilarious, we basically had true DeFi professionalized to an insane level when you look at Uniswap, Curve, Aave, and Yearn decentralized/autonomous, transparent, some of the smartest most cypherpunk people on the planet built these things then everyone just says 'nah fuck that' and reverts to offchain hedgefunds disguised as stablecoins

The CEO of one of the best companies I've recently met, has a unique (and I believe compelling) philosophy around hiring: make managers prove themselves as ICs first. "We don't  directly hire into management. Instead, we like to hire them as ICs, and within 6-12 months we're happy to have them be managers (ie hire & interview with the expectation) but we want to make sure they will be strong ICs, so we can trust them with management. We've held this to be true across the board to date (operations, legal, marketing, etc.)  We may need to have exceptions in the future- but we definitely care maximally about this for technical roles (PM/Eng/Design/DS) since that is the core of our company."

The best thing you can tell a designer is to go “full casino mode” when they brainstorm. It removes a massive burden from them and they no longer feel guilt about being trashy. And then they finally create something that is fun and people want to click.

Shower thought: Normal behavior is forgotten. Only weird behavior survives. Nobody tells stories of when you did the expected — they only tell stories when you did the unexpected. Normal behavior costs nothing in the short term — but it disappears into the abyss. Unconventional behavior costs a social price in the short term — but the actions live on as story assets in the future. 1. If you pay for the bill at everyone in the table - the short-term reaction is shock and confusion. But in the long term, it’s everyone’s favorite memory of you. 2. If you travel across the world for a friend's birthday, the friend’s initial reaction is: “You don’t have to do that” — but it’s the story they tell at your funeral. 3. If you’re 100% honest with your feedback on people’s business ideas, the short-term reaction is anger — but in the long term, you become one of the few people they trust. If you study the biographies of the greats or attend the funerals of people you care about — the normal rational behavior is never mentioned. It’s filled with stories that make the individual unique. It’s all the times they broke out of the median distribution of human behavior. If you want to create behavioral assets that tell stories for you in the future, you have to pay the price of appearing weird in the present moment. Your personal brand is defined by your weirdness, eccentricities, and irrational behavior. If you remove them in order to fit in with the tribe, you remove all future stories and memories that tribe will tell about you.

"𝐷𝑒𝐹𝑖 𝑖𝑠 𝑡𝑜𝑜 𝘩𝑎𝑟𝑑 𝑡𝑜 𝑢𝑠𝑒 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑛𝑜𝑟𝑚𝑎𝑙 𝑝𝑒𝑜𝑝𝑙𝑒" "𝑊𝑖𝑡𝘩 𝑡𝘩𝑒 𝑐𝑢𝑟𝑟𝑒𝑛𝑡 𝑈𝑋, 𝑤𝑒'𝑙𝑙 𝑛𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑟 𝑔𝑒𝑡 𝑡𝑜 𝑚𝑎𝑠𝑠 𝑎𝑑𝑜𝑝𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛" "𝐶𝑟𝑦𝑝𝑡𝑜 𝑛𝑒𝑒𝑑𝑠 𝑎 𝑓𝑎𝑐𝑒𝑙𝑖𝑓𝑡" If you've been around for any significant amount of time in crypto, you've probably heard of these remarks from outsiders, haters, or people genuinely trying to build the industry up... ...And maybe you've experienced the laggy websites, difficult onboarding processes, or unfortunate hack or loss of funds yourself. 𝐖𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞. In fact, total exploits and hacks shot up by over 300% since the inception of DeFi 😮 In an effort to clear the air about the current state of crypto UX... I'd like to present you my predictions for crypto, including the UX improvements over the next few years, and highlight a leading project (and a solidified DeFi OG) who is paving the way for onboarding millions of users to an 𝑒𝑎𝑠𝑦 𝑐𝑟𝑦𝑝𝑡𝑜 𝑒𝑥𝑝𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑒𝑛𝑐𝑒 👇 In order to properly articulate the beauties of Account Abstraction, intents, chain abstraction, and other novel DeFi primitives, its important to understand how we got here... When I first entered DeFi in June 2020, the options for me were slim as far as onboarding and protocols to choose from. I still remember using Compound on Argent wallet, thinking it was a gamechanger to do this on mobile...let alone being able to conduct actions onchain. Most users (myself included), eventually used MM for everything and that was just the normal standard. Things went well for awhile until gas fees spiked, MM hot wallets were drained constantly, cross-chain bridges were exploited, and the overall liquidity and protocol user experience was entirely fragmented. This became an issue for users and slowly but surely, a problem for protocols too. 𝐋𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐲 + 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝐔𝐗 = 𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐬/𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐬. In the background during this time, a portfolio tracking app called @Instadapp had surfaced and decided to get a step ahead of these issues. What started out as simply a portfolio tracker has now involved into a "all-in-one" crypto superapp with tons of use cases for you. Notably, the predictions I'm sharing with you today are aligned with the tech that @Instadapp has built. Let's dive in 👇 1⃣ 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐛𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 I recently wrote a thread on EIP-4337 and how AA is going to revolutionize the crypto experience for everyone by means of smart contract wallets replacing EOAs. So what did Instadapp do? They built @avowallet, a smart contract wallet and aggregator. As you can see, it shows in the bottom tab the assets you have in your MM (or other EOA wallet) and asks you to transfer to Avocado for the much better experience. Avocado offers a unified gas payment experience in USDC, ensuring a seamless transaction process even if you're low on ETH. The smart wallet is ofc non-custodial and natively powered by AA which brings tons of benefits: - Enhanced security - Pay gas with USDC (or other) - Easy access to DeFi strategies Additionally for all the devs out there, Avocado includes a Developer Incentives Program, further promoting innovation and projects to build atop of Avocado. For the next prediction... 2⃣𝐄𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 "𝐒𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐬" When I say smart accounts I mean a DeFi user experience where you can interact with tons of various protocols from one place, utilizing higher-level, semi- automated strategies. For example, if I want to repay a borrow automatically upon hitting a certain health factor on a lending market. Or, if I want to TWAP the market when it enters a given price range based on parameters. One of the powerful tools from Instadapp that gives these capabilities is 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗽𝗽 𝗣𝗿𝗼 which allows these strategies (and more) known as DSAs. Here's more technical detail on the three pieces of a DSA: These DSAs integrate a wide array of DeFi protocols, including OGs such as @MakerDAO, @compoundfinance, @AaveAave, @LiquityProtocol, @MorphoLabs, and @Uniswap. The platform offers a multitude of features such as debt refinancing from one dApp to another, automated debt protection, cross-chain transfers, sweep swap, and others. Effectively, this gives power users like myself a better way to engage onchain for DeFi. 𝑆𝑜𝑚𝑒𝑡𝘩𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑤𝑒 𝑤𝑜𝑢𝑙𝑑 𝑑𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑚 𝑜𝑓 𝑖𝑛 𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑙𝑦 𝐷𝑒𝐹𝑖 𝑠𝑢𝑚𝑚𝑒𝑟 𝑑𝑎𝑦𝑠. 3⃣𝐋𝐒𝐃𝐅𝐢 & 𝐋𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐝 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐤𝐲𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐭 As we know, staked ETH has been the talk of the town since the merge. Tons of protocols have jumped on the train and produced high quality yields for users with idle ETH. Right now the entire industry is set at about $20B or so...I expect that to hit $200B+ in the next 18 months. And of course, @Instadapp has a product for you: 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗽𝗽 𝗟𝗶𝘁𝗲 focuses on leveraged Ethereum staking for maximum APY. It leverages "blue-chip" DeFi protocols such as AAVE, Lido, Compound, and Morpho, positioning itself as one of the best R:R Ethereum staking pools in the DeFi space. The current yields are between 4-5% APY and imo, a TardFi banker bro would come to instadapp before going to navigate 8-12% onchain yield with more risk. I expect these type of liquid funds from the Eastern hemisphere to dominate the deposits as the West still has to figure out their regulatory sitaution Will the trust a new protocol, or an established OG with solid backing and a ton of credibility? 𝐸𝑎𝑠𝑦 𝑐𝘩𝑜𝑖𝑐𝑒. On the topic of safety & security, Instadapp's credibility and safety are underscored by its position as the 9th biggest dApp by TVL, with over $2B in the protocol. They've undergone extensive audits and only work with reliable protocols who have lasted the test of time. In conclusion, I expect these three areas of DeFi to pick up massive traction in the coming months-years and it seems @Instadapp is positioned to capture much of this market share. 𝐍𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬, 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐨 𝐦𝐲 𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐧...? Engage with Instadapp. Download the Avocado wallet and experience the power of AA yourself. Put your idle ETH to work. May the crypto force be with you. 𝐷𝑖𝑠𝑐𝑙𝑎𝑖𝑚𝑒𝑟: 𝑇𝘩𝑖𝑠 𝑝𝑜𝑠𝑡 𝑤𝑎𝑠 𝑑𝑜𝑛𝑒 𝑖𝑛 𝑐𝑜𝑙𝑙𝑎𝑏𝑜𝑟𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑤𝑖𝑡𝘩 𝐼𝑛𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑑𝑎𝑝𝑝. 𝐻𝑜𝑤𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑟, 𝑐𝑜𝑙𝑙𝑎𝑏 𝑜𝑟 𝑛𝑜𝑡, 𝑡𝘩𝑒𝑠𝑒 𝑝𝑟𝑒𝑑𝑖𝑐𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑠 𝑟𝑒𝑚𝑎𝑖𝑛 𝑚𝑖𝑛𝑒 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝐼 𝑎𝑚 𝑒𝑥𝑐𝑖𝑡𝑒𝑑 𝑡𝑜 𝑠𝑒𝑒 𝘩𝑜𝑤 𝑡𝘩𝑒 𝑓𝑢𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑒 𝑙𝑎𝑛𝑑𝑠𝑐𝑎𝑝𝑒 𝑒𝑣𝑜𝑙𝑣𝑒𝑠.
