Let me reiterate that I don’t agree with her statement about real or supreme tribe in South Sudan. My argument is only on the marriage part she stated which is what everyone is bashing her on and calling her clueless in.

You people are bashing the poor girl but to some extent she’s right. We are very tribalistic and marriages amongst ourselves are discouraged by some parents. There’s literal talks about whom one should not marry among those communities. It’s not right but it’s happening .

I’ve made this observation a few times from watching failing 2nd generation immigrant teens in North America.
If a boy says his people are the best, your response should be, ‘thats great, kid. Go on’. Even if he is delusional.
The alternative is a disaster, low self esteem.

Loving yourself and your own people should be a given. It is essential for someone’s sense of self on earth. I wanna hear a Toposa boy saying his people are the greatest to ever live. However, it is important that this self love does not turn into despising/hating others. #SSOX

@zannymb how could you have said that you have no reason to believe that he is antisemitic? He is only 1 level below Candace because he realizes she’s completely off the rocker. He is one of the biggest reasons why so many on the right are so openly antisemitic. He even called for Jews to take a DNA test in regards to their claim for Israel in the Huckabee interview. How can you say that with a serious face?

It is only in the West that kids are send away right when they turned 18 years old. In all other parts of the world, kids stay at home until marriage.

I used to be entirely in the camp that said you should kick your kids out at 18 and force them to live independently and make their own way in the world. I don’t feel that way at all anymore. I want all my kids to live with us until they get married. Even after they’re married, if they want to live on our property, or close by, my wife and I would love that. The important thing is to teach your kids responsibility, which we’re doing. They need to contribute and help around the house, which all of our kids do from a very young age. Provided you aren’t raising ungrateful useless moochers, why kick them out? Why drive them away from your family home? I don’t see the point in it anymore. I actually like my kids and like being around them. Maybe they’ll all end up scattered to the wind. But I’d prefer to keep the family together. Why wouldn’t I?

President Kiir Arrives in South Africa for Official Visit President Salva Kiir Mayardit has arrived in South Africa for an official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral relations with South Sudan. He was received at O. R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg by South African officials and South Sudan’s Chargé d’Affaires, Simon Deng Akok. During the visit, President Kiir is expected to hold talks with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa to discuss strengthening cooperation between the two countries. The trip follows their meeting in Addis Ababa during the African Union Heads of State Summit in February.
