Turned 26 today 🎂
Last birthday, I was on the verge of quitting my job to try building SaaS solo.
I dreamt of few things by my next birthday that I'd have built something good and be certain about the path ahead😅
Today, running a SaaS that makes $$, shaped by all the failures, trials, and lessons since quitting
Goals for 27th:
→ More customers, more revenue (20–50x from here)
→ More family trips & time
→ Retiring my parents
→ Becoming a better SaaS entrepreneur than I am today particularly at marketing

😌 Back to contracting after years. Feels weird in a good way — and honestly, I’m really enjoying it. Might just continue unless I feel otherwise.

Here’s how I usually design them:
• Start with a subtle base layer — a solid #000 spread at around 8% opacity
• Then stack a few drop shadows: start with Y: 1, Blur: 1, Spread: –0.5 at around 4–6%
• For each additional layer, increase Y and Blur (roughly doubling each time) while keeping spread slightly negative
• Reduce opacity a little with every layer so it feels softer — more blur = less visible
• The key is building it gradually instead of trying to get it in one layer
Layering + low opacities = smooth, realistic shadows 👌

🕳️ For me, working on shadows is a never-ending process. There’s always one more tweak that looks ‘even better’. But at some point, you learn to stop yourself before it turns into a black hole.
