At some point people need to ask the uncomfortable question:What happens if Bitcoin enters a long bear market while Strategy is buried under massive debt?Everyone praises leverage during the bull market.Nobody talks about the risk when liquidity disappears.Saylor looks like a genius right now.But leverage has destroyed a lot of “geniuses” in financial history too.

If that fails (likely), $60k is next, followed by the mid-$40k range.

@thinkfree101 Well it hasn't even managed to earn 2.5% yet, even over five years, let alone every year for five years. Plus MSTR keeps issuing more STRC. So that 2.5% hurdle rate gets higher every week.

$MSTR spent $64B buying Bitcoin over the past five years. But as of today, its total return is negative. The entire premise upon which the $STRC Ponzi is built is the expectation that Bitcoin will appreciate by 30% per year, allowing MSTR to afford to pay STRC shareholders 11.5%.

If this is real it has interesting implications for Bitcoin.
If the program succeeds in bypassing sanctions it will put pressure on US lawmakers to clamp down on Bitcoin.
If the US finds a way to stop the payments from going through it will discredit Bitcoin as a safe digital alternative to gold.

BREAKING: Iran has launched "Hormuz Safe," a Bitcoin-backed insurance service for shipping companies that want to transit the Strait of Hormuz.
Details include:
1. The Iranian government says it could generate more than $10 billion in revenue from the program
2. The service will be for "Iranian shipping companies and cargo owners"
3. "The shipment will be covered from the moment of confirmation and signed receipt will be given to the owner," Iran says
4. It is unclear if this insurance service will be charged in addition to tolls, which have been as much as $2 million per ship

Strategy CEO @phongle refuted my claim that $STRC is a Ponzi scheme by arguing it’s “transparent” and “very clear what we’re doing.” But I never accused Strategy of hiding the scheme. In contrast, I called STRC the most obvious Ponzi precisely because $MSTR is so open about it.

The craziest thing about Michael Saylor headlining Bitcoin conferences is that his company doesn't even deal in Bitcoin.
He takes your money, gives you some weird promises of fiat, then totally swears he's going to buy some Bitcoin for himself with it.
That's like the top burger restaurant taking your money, giving you a paper receipt, and then promising that the chef's going to eat a burger.
