In 2012 as District Collector of Madurai he investigated illegal granite quarrying. His report found losses to the state of at least Rs 16,000 crore. He named politicians and officials. He was transferred four days after submitting the report. That was transfer number 19. In 2015 the High Court appointed him to probe a granite scam. He needed to exhume bodies as evidence. The police refused to help. He was worried evidence would be tampered with. He spent the night alone in a graveyard. In Namakkal 5,000 villagers once came out to protest when the government tried to transfer him. The transfer was withdrawn. He was ultimately kept for six years in an insignificant post at Science City Chennai with nothing to do. In 2021 he resigned voluntarily. Three years before retirement. ALL NINE COPS TO BE HANGED!!! In a landmark judgement, the honourable First Additional District and Sessions Judge of Madurai, G Muthukumaran pronounced death penalty for all nine policemen in the Jeyaraj and Beniks custodial torture and death case. Inspector S Sridhar, sub-inspectors P Ragu Ganesh & K Balakrishnan, head constables S Murugan and A Samidurai and constables M Muthuraja, S Veil Muthu, S Chelladurai & X Thomas Francis have all been found guilty of the double murder. On 19th June 2020, Jeyaraj went to his son’s mobile shop in at Sathankulam in Thoothukudi. Police arrested him for violating Covid rules. Following the father’s arrest, Beniks went to the police station and requested for his father’s release. Beniks apparently had an argument with the cops. They arrested him also and tortured him and his father through the night and later sent to judicial remand. Beniks died at Kovilapatti Government Hospital on 22nd June, 2020, and Jeyaraj passed away the next day. The investigation later revealed that the mobile shop wasn’t open beyond the permissible hours. Basically a false case was slapped. Later, a female constable, Revathi came forward to tell the truth of their torture. Not only were the son & the father beaten brutally throughout the night but were also made to clean up their blood off the police station floor and walls with their clothes. Beniks sustained 13 external injuries and Jeyaraj had 17 wounds that ultimately led to their deaths. They were bleeding from their rectums when they were sent to jail!!! Following a huge social media uproar and protests, there was pressure on the then Tamil Nadu government to conduct a fair investigation into their deaths. If you go through the whole case, you will realise that 59 year old Jeyraj and 31 year old Beniks were killed purely because the ego of the policemen was hurt. They were angry that Beniks questioned why his father was arrested and being beaten up. Family of the victims hope this will be a lesson to all policemen who think they can get away with any crime. But unfortunately in our country most police don’t play by the rules. It is either their ego or orders from above or corruption that drives them. Hoping for better policing and a system that stands for victims, especially the voiceless ones.

🚨 A word of caution for Honda car owners in Bangalore. @Honda @HondaCarIndia I gave my Honda City e:HEV for service at Dakshin Honda on March 4th, 2026. TPMS installation was part of the service request. They confirmed it was done. I paid ₹10,949 in addition to regular service When I got my car back — the TPMS had NOT been installed. What followed was worse: ❌ Followed up from the very next day and explained the issue ❌ The Service Manager stopped picking up my calls ❌ Escalated to Honda India Customer Care ❌ Honda India simply forwarded it back to Dakshin Honda ❌ Nearly 3 weeks later — no installation, no refund, no accountability This isn't a service lapse. This is being charged for work that was never done — and then being stonewalled when you raise it. Rs. 10K is not a big money. This raises question on what is the authenticity of the service. Usually they say, we repaired, replaced particular oil or part. There is no way, we can verify it. When the customer trust is broken, brands disappear. I have been using various Honda vehicles from 2000. This is something i never experienced so far. I'm sharing this publicly because the internal escalation channels have failed. A thing I'm trying from something I've seen online. Buy a bunch of roses (or get given them! ) and cut their little heads off! Then use the stems, cut in a certain way, then stuck into compost with some rooting powder.. and you should get a nice new rose bush! I paid £2 for 9 roses. I managed to get 10 cuttings from the stems. I have 8 of them in some compost, with a 2 litre pop bottle over them (and 2 outside of the bottle). I should know in about 3 weeks if they've rooted. I may know sooner if the green leaves die. I didn't waste the blooms, popped them in a little glass.
