When the American Newspaper Guild went on strike against the Cleveland Press, management of the Press, the Cleveland News and The Plain Dealer attempted to put out a joint paper on Nov. 2, 1956, bearing the mastheads of all three papers, but teamsters drivers refused to deliver.
