The Odyssey opens at 98% on Rotten Tomatoes, across 116 reviews. Every conservative cultural critic I admire, my friend @SpencerKlavan among them, has come away impressed. I see it tomorrow and my own take lands at @NRO this weekend.

I didn't think it was possible to make a film this monumental on a $200 million budget. The Odyssey should force Hollywood to seriously rethink how blockbusters are made. Where is all that money going? How much of it actually ends up on screen? This feels like a billion-dollar film by today's standards.

Okay, I've come to the conclusion that these people, and especially the racist Christopher Nolan, really do hate us Greeks, and there's no longer any excuse.
