@CuriosityonX @Eurozone_Equine No it’s a BCG scar for tuberculosis vaccination.
English

You've seen this scar on older people's arms. That weird little starburst on the shoulder.
It's not from a normal shot.
The smallpox vaccine wasn't injected like a regular jab. They used a bifurcated needle - basically a tiny fork with two prongs. Invented in 1965 by a guy named Benjamin Rubin, who ground down the eye of a sewing machine needle to make it.
Here's the wild part. You dip the needle in the vaccine and one drop gets caught between the prongs. That's the whole dose. Then you jab the arm 15 times, fast. Quick shallow pricks, just deep enough to draw a bit of blood and slip the weakened virus into the skin.
Your immune system does the rest. Red bump. Blister. Pus. Scab. Falls off. Scar for life.
The mark isn't from the needle. It's from your body fighting the virus. And the reason it looks like a starburst instead of a dot? Those 15 rapid punctures.
That scar is basically a receipt. Proof you survived one of the deadliest diseases in human history before we wiped it off the planet.

The choice between Collins and a Nazi is like a choice between drinking spoilt milk and broken glass. Not really that hard of a choice, all things considered.

The city of Nice, thanks to Mayor @eciotti , is an official America 250 partner!
This event, with representatives of the American community, was only one of dozens of commemorative celebrations.

@MichaelShurkin Crazy to think the French gendarmerie’s MAS rifles were chambered in 7.5×54 French — essentially a full-power battle rifle cartridge comparable to 7.62 NATO/.308. It’d be like deploying police today with FALs or G3s.

@BookerBiro And when the Kenyan president comes to Paris it’s the same thing. What’s your problem?

French imperialism blocks roads in Nairobi for Macron like Kenya is a colony and Ruto is a colonial chief. Yet Ruto can never block a single street in Paris. This is the reality of neocolonialism. One rules, the other kneels.
Down with French imperialism!

Amsterdam has become the first capital in the world to ban meat advertising
The Dutch capital has prohibited ads for meat, cars, and other products linked to fossil fuels.
Starting May 1, such ads will disappear from bus stops, billboards, and other public spaces.
City authorities say the goal is to cut emissions and push people toward a more sustainable lifestyle.
In reality, the scale is still modest: before the ban, these ads made up about 4% of all advertising in the city, with meat accounting for just 0.1%.

Europe is trembling.
Kallas lays bare Europe’s fear over the announced withdrawal of American troops (the only real deterrent against a Russian attack).
And she resorts to a self-reassuring statement. No, American troops are not here to defend American interests. The Americans are interested in air and naval bases in Europe, provided they can use them.
They have no interest, however, in keeping 500,000 troops here, which are a kind of exchange agreement. “I use the bases, I guarantee you protection.” The moment Europe denies them access to the bases—and even to its airspace—the exchange vanishes as well.
The bases can be moved, or it may become attractive to strike a deal with what Europe now considers its enemy—Russia—after having long handed over its energy sovereignty to it, against strong American warnings.
Someone will have to change course decisively, and that someone is Europe. And not because Trump wants it: Trump is simply saying out loud what every American administration since Nixon has been telling us.
And no one will turn back once Europe has sawed off the branch it’s sitting on. It seems even the European sycophants are beginning to understand this. Perhaps not Kallas, who notoriously doesn’t understand a thing. But many others do, including Meloni, who is now engaged in a complex acrobatic somersault maneuver to try to get back at least somewhere near where she was before.

@MichaelShurkin I doubt Israel would welcome international intervention—whether against Hamas/Hezbollah or against itself. External involvement tends to constrain, not resolve.
