My biggest fear in life is not being around to protect my children in the future, whether they are still young or in adulthood. The world is a bad place & getting worse domestically & abroad. Scares the living daylights out of me & why much of my energy is spent on these issues.

I stand by every word of this. My explanation of what I meant by “it won’t be solved by money” was cut off. Fact is we have upped the share of national income spent by the state to nearly 50% and we haven’t solved the problems. There’s a reason for that. /1

We get it and we have listened. The abolition of the 45pc rate had become a distraction from our mission to get Britain moving. Our focus now is on building a high growth economy that funds world-class public services, boosts wages, and creates opportunities across the country.

Anyone expecting Truss to change tack - including her MPs - can forget it. She just confirmed she didn't consult Cabinet on 45p tax cut. Repeats her line that “We need to move away from the idea that everything is about how we redistribute resources.”

There’s no hate from me, malice or Ill feeling towards those that want to identify differently, anyone that knows me would say this, but we really cannot have men simply wearing women’s clothes & being allowed to decide THEMSELVES that they can go into women’s changing rooms etc

On a slightly more serious note. If the level of abuse currently being directed at Tory delegates by the extreme-Left was occurring at Labour conference, and being orchestrated by the far-Right, there would be demands for them to be swept from the streets.
