Videos like this deeply affect me. This is a short video of Dutch tourists in 1960 taking a Boat Trip Along the Thames when it still looked spectacular. They observe Cleopatras needle (sundial), which is 3 and a 1/2 millennia old, and, unlike so many other sights in these types of videos, still sits there to this day. @Lost___London @BygoneBritain

Belisha beacon and chimneys. It’s not easy taking a photograph of Battersea Power Station that you haven’t seen a million times before. Crossing a zebra crossing, I looked up to see the chimneys and thought, I haven’t seen this angle before. So I took a photo.
