@Aston177ash Jus an assumption but I think it’s maybe jus a mule for their Hypercar because the Valkyrie is based on an F1 car, so it looks as if they testing without the main parts on it

@techAU I thought they already released pricing? From memory it was $109k + onroads for the X3 5.0i which seems pretty reasonable, but I've also seen range test from Europe that show the WLTP range of the X3 is not accurate at all, and the real world range is about the same as a Model Y

@hamids The R2 doesn't have serious off-road capability, it's moderate at best. It doesn't have high ground clearance or adjustable suspension, and doesn't have a locking diff. It is not an R1.

$TSLA Model Y Performance vs. $RIVN R2 Performance Launch Edition This is waaay better pricing than I expected for launch! R2 Performance launch is basically the same price as a Model Y, but: - R2 gives you serious off-road capabilities. Model Y does not. - R2 gives you a driver's screen with essentials so you don't have to look to the center to see speed/etc. This is a concern for a lot of drivers. - R2 Launch edition includes Autonomy+ for Free, which has a $2,500 price tag and currently gives you hands-off driving. Tesla no longer includes Autopilot without the purchase of FSD, so this is a pretty big deal! It means R2 has more self-driving capabilities included than Model Y. - Tesla has FSD options for an extra $99/month. Rivian currently does not have point-to-point driving. However, it's worth noting that fewer than 20% of Tesla owners choose to buy FSD.

NEWS: This afternoon a 2024 Tesla Model Y (pre-referesh) mounted the curb and reportedly pinned a delivery driver on an eBike against the wall of South Yarra resteraunt Burgertory in Melbourne. Reddit comments and subsequently FB communities have launched into wild speculation about how this occured. Some are speculating the cause could be related to FSD, with no supporting evidence this was the case. Given the Malvern Rd intersection features well marked lane lines, gutters, barriers on the sidewalk, neither AP or FSD (if engaged) would be likely to take a hard left turn randomly. I expect an incident report will rule this out. Other speculation suggests the driver may have lost consciousness, or even intentionally done this. There are no police reports that support this speculation and we should wait for an official report before providing judgement. The car broke through barriers to it's left, however has damage to it's right door and mirror. This hints at a potential collision with another vehicle that sent the vehicle to the left. The front bar was also damaged in the collision. The right side is not visible in the images shared. Victoria Police, Ambulance Victoria and Fire services attended site. The vehicle features a CPV Registration sticker on the windscreen, suggesting it was used for Commercial Passenger Vehicle services like Uber or Didi, with no confirmation it was actively doing so at the time of the incident. 📸 Divine_Comet

@CommBank there's a near naked man who is smoking and appears to have set up a bedroom in the foyer of the Glenferrie Rd, Malvern branch. Kind of hard to use the ATMs when it's in someone's bedroom.

I’m now maxed out on referrals for the rest of the year. Time to help you guys get some Tesla referrals! Drop your referral links below and I’ll send people asking for a code to the comment section to select one. Won’t be able to help everyone, but will do what I can. For those curious, here's what people ordered using my code: • Model Ys: 6 • Cybertrucks: 3 • Model 3: 1

@SawyerMerritt If Tesla made the S and X in RHD it would be a lot more than 1.8%. That being said, we've had enough hints that the Model X will be replaced with the the CyberSUV and the S with the Roadster.

Tesla isn’t getting out of the car business right now lol. They’re simply discontinuing two vehicles that accounted for ~1.8% of global unit sales, to make room for a product (Optimus) that could generate multiple orders of magnitude more revenue at full scale. Tesla will continue to sell cars right now because it's providing the cash the company needs to fund their Robotaxi & Optimus projects. Tesla said they will continue to support the Model S/X, including parts, for as long as those vehicle are in the fleet. The same is true for all the other vehicles currently in their lineup (which aren't being discontinued right now btw).

@SawyerMerritt @Tesla I’m thinking of canceling my Model Y order since Tesla is get of the car business. Resale value and parts availability will be a huge concern

My son was a victim of the Bondi Shooting. Please Elon, can I grift a cyber truck for me? It’s actually embarrassing to post this shit, but yet, here we are.
Yossi Lazaroff 👍@AggieRabbi

My son Leibel was shot twice in the #sydneyterror attack. He will have his 9th surgery tomorrow. I can’t wait to be able to take him home and have his dream car @Tesla Cybertruck waiting for him in our driveway in Texas. Is that too much of a dream? Learning from this experience, not knowing if Leibel would be alive when I rushed to Australia with my wife, leaving our little kids behind, is to think positive and think big. Something I learned from @elonmusk We have experienced miracles and wonders with his recovery ❤️‍🩹 and we have shared positivity and warmth with all those that are praying and doing acts of kindness for his speedy recovery. May we continue to share only good news.

@OutofSpecDetail Isn't this normal operating procedure for a new pack? They put a very conservative curve on intially, then ramp it up via software update after looking at fleet data. I'm pretty sure this is what they did with the Cybertruck on launch. Is that correct @elonmusk ?

I am disappointed by Wheels' review of the Tesla Model Y in their “2025 Wheels Car of the Year” competition. FIRSTLY, they claim: “The lack of a driver's display, head-up display or gauge cluster of any kind, is a deal breaker in the eyes of the judging team.” I can understand this, as the judges aren’t used to Tesla’s design, glancing at the top right corner of the screen for speed, but after driving a Tesla for over a year, it is just as effective as a centre cluster. SECONDLY, they describe the touchscreen gear selector as “neither intuitive nor easy to decipher” and label it “stupid, silly, nonsensical & unnecessary.” Were they not educated on AutoShift and Shift Out of Park? In my experience, having the gear selector on the screen makes no difference, as you rarely need to touch it: just tap the brake to shift out of park, and tap the brake while turning the wheel to change gears when necessary. While the Tesla model Y did not make it out of the first round being beat by cars like the Kia EV3 I’m not only disappointed in the model wise result but also what feels like biased reporting. Do better, Wheels Magazine.

This thing is genuinely incredible Lucid Air Sapphire can go from being a comfortable road tripper to a track monster! Even more impressive is the fact that there’s no crazy fancy suspension… just an adaptive damper and perfect geometry / tuning… and of course a powerful tri-motor powertrain that’s never running out of steam. The one limitation is the battery pack thermal management but we didn’t run into that much with our review here, since the goal was to just set a time for a singular lap. Enjoy my performance “One Lap” review of the Sapphire
