Since its creation in 1982, Operation Brightside has likely received over $15,000,000 in government funding IN ADDITION to the private funding. I spent quite a few of my Saturdays in the 80s volunteering to clean up neighborhoods that somehow couldn't clean up after themselves. I don't need more "Studies" to know the countless thousands of volunteer hours and millions of dollars were a total waste.

@ShowMe @DavidCStokes StL County Board of Plumbing Examiners (which controls licensing) has for too long been too friendly with the Plumber/Pipefitters Union and together have limited licensing to stimulate demand. They could have (and should have) been taken to court over the practice 50 years ago.

In coordination with the Task Force to Eliminate Fraud, federal law enforcement executed several arrests and search warrants in the Los Angeles area this morning targeting hospice and health care fraud. Operation Never Say Die involves 11 defendants who engaged in fraud totaling more than $50 million. Those arrested today will appear in federal court this afternoon. A press conference with more details is happening shortly.
