Pilots of the #A320 have often complained of the noise in the cockpit. The noise is often induced by the Avionics Ventilation System.
To enhance cockpit noise reduction through reduced airflow, a Dual Speed Fan was created. This fan features both low and high speed settings and is paired with a Fan Speed Controller (FSC) and Thermal Switch, ensuring the reliability of the computers is not compromised.
The FSC regulates the dual-speed fan based on the temperature readings from the Thermal Switch positioned upstream at 80VU.
• 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐞𝐝 activates when the temperature exceeds +40 °C (104 °F).
• 𝐋𝐨𝐰 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐞𝐝 engages when the temperature falls below +35 °C (95 °F).
The dual-speed fan option was designed to reduce noise during ground operations, while its effect during flight is minimal.
Ground tests show that this has resulted in significant reduction in noise for the #A320 below 800Hz when switching from high speed to low speed.

Invalid takeoff performance calculation led to this situation, basically wrong T/O thrust setting, wrong V-Speeds and flaps setting. I think the pilots did amazing job by not overshooting the liftoff attitude which prevented tail strike the aircraft. Maintaining the liftoff attitude or just below it allows the aircraft to build more airspeed and made a successful takeoff….🛫 Great Job 👏

My ex has always believed I’m not paying her enough in Child Maintenance. I’ve always told her she’s getting way more than required.

Delta Air Lines A350-941 collides with a Delta Connection Bombardier CRJ-900LR at Atlanta International Airport. The accident resulted in the vertical and horizontal stabilizer of the CRJ being severed from the aircraft. According to Delta Air Lines, the wing of an Airbus A350 taxiing out as DL295 from Atlanta to Tokyo-Haneda made contact with the tail of an Endeavor Air CRJ-900, DL5526 to LaFayette, Louisiana, on an adjacent taxiway, resulting in damage to the tail of the regional jet and the wing of the A350.
