For every £1 boomers pay in tax, they will receive £1.20 in benefits. The state pension should be scrapped. No ifs, no buts, scrapped.

@JasonKelleyUK @albieamankona It’s true, but doesn’t take into account inflation/interest and compounding. If someone paid £100 in 1986, today that’s worth £300. When you work the numbers properly, pensioners paid more than enough in.

@thursday_dan @AlwaysAgnew @overlook61 @BenedictSpence I know you are a troll but on your basis of argument, that’s fine but how do you justify the 45 years of 8-11% of national insurance you have taken from me and where did it go if the state shouldn’t give a pension, so I’ve been lied to. Can I have my £900k back please?

@richdevon2017 @AlwaysAgnew @overlook61 @BenedictSpence The state shouldn’t be giving most people a pension really. It should be something done by yourself much in the same way car insurance is for example. If you didn’t plan and make sensible decisions then that’s on you i’m afraid. We need to rebuild the Navy!

@thursday_dan @AlwaysAgnew @overlook61 @BenedictSpence Pensions are already means tested by taxing income on anything over £12,570. the pension is £12547. So we are taxed on already taxed money we saved, to not be a burden on society in old age but you think we don’t deserve it. You are a special sort of cunt.

Pensioners will call you heartless for not wanting to fund the retirement they failed to prepare for, and then shrug when you ask them how we should pay for children.

@AlwaysAgnew @overlook61 @BenedictSpence So you save for retirement but if you do better than average, some commie cunt decides you don’t “NEED” your money back that you saved? But some feckless twat had 2 holidays a year and didn’t save, should get your surplus you don’t “NEED”. Go fuck yourself moron.

Not needed for flights that are less than 2 hours, but for flights 12+ long (for orbits to align for a tower catch), propellant conditioning is definitely needed. The evaporation rate for cryogenics is pretty significant. That's why long duration Falcon 9/Heavy flights often have dark paint around the kerosene tank, although this is used to stop it from freeing.

People surely cannot believe that the US just has troops in Europe to 'protect' Europeans. It isn't 'anti-American' or some nonsense to point out the obvious fact that these troops arrived during World War II and never left because the Americans emerged as the victor and new world hegemon. They became the new masters of Europe. The European nations, as people like catturd will openly admit, are vassals of the United States. Obviously Europeans would want US forces to leave. It's a national stain that there are foreign troops with bases in our countries, can you imagine offering that up to any politician pre-1945? It's just the reality and can be readily admitted. Europe has its faults, and we openly admit to them and hate all of our own governments. I don't know any European happy with the way they're governed, but we're all ultimately under the thumb of the US (less so over time and clearly, as we've seen with recent events, some kind of change is coming) Not even giving a take here, but can we stop pretending to have it both ways where we'll called vassals whilst pretending it would be some kind of punishment to stop that vassalage. The US isn't in Europe out of the kindness of her heart, it's there to protect her interests. Again, almost every European nationalist loves Americans, truly, we view them as one of us, fellow-Europeans on another continent like Australians or anyone else, but we just dislike the American government and big business (basically one and the same) which have dominated us since the last world war.

@_Plac3_hold3r @Ross___Mack @Juve38Wa98021 @PolitlcsUK No, 1 example: Pre-Brexit 95% of vets doing checks in abattoirs were from the EU. They all went home, no British vets wanted the jobs, meaning meat couldn't be certified healthy, so impossible to export. Also impossible to certify meat for UK consumption so we import instead.

🚨 NEW: Marmalade will have to be sold as "citrus marmalade" under the upcoming UK-EU food deal This is because EU rules from June will broaden the definition of "marmalade" to include non-citrus spreads

It's to make sure the largest upper stage ever launched comes back to Earth in a safe manner if the deorbit burn fails. On the last two flights, the vehicle had a positive perigee, so was technically orbital. There's no advantage to going fully orbital until the proper propellant conditioning systems have been implemented.

@thursday_dan @cdoy043 @JackWhitlock @Red_Ender666 @ironcrakka To put it in perspective spacex operate the falcon 9 the most reliable rocket ever which has made orbit over 600 times spacex knows what they are doing. Starship is attempting full reusabilty, never done before so they prioritise testing reentry and landing of the second stage

@benfromsuffolk @BennyBongoP3fan @PolitlcsUK @thetimes I think those receiving standard state pension need it. UK pension is already poor 11th across Europe. Not a case of deserve it but more a case of they've paid into a system and deserve an amount to afford to get by. £1000 a month isn't alot
